The hospitality industry today has been recognized as a very large industry in the entire world and a restaurant is considered one of the prime fields which brings quite a great deal of profit and satisfies the custo- mers and to achieve this goal, restaurant owners are doing a lot of activities which can be harmful to the environ- ment. The purpose of the research is to discuss the impact of the restaurant industry on the sustainability of the environment. This review paper is based on primary data like observations, interviews, and secondary data which is mentioned in various reports, newspapers, journals, books, and websites. This research paper starts with the different negative impact of the restaurant industry on the environment and end with how we can reduce these impacts to sustain the environment. Sustainability practices will help the restaurant for reducing operating costs and save the environment from toxins that occur in the food-making process.
