Reconnoitering the factors that may impact the academic achievement of learners is relevant for instructional scientists. The absence of knowledge of this likely connection with teachers and learners can lead to discouragement of the further perseverance of language learners. The present study seeks to define the prevalence of personality types and learning styles in Bangladeshi context as well as to address the impact of traits and styles on the samples (N = 676). A cross-sectional quantitative research design was used for this study and self-reported BFI questionnaire, VARK questionnaire and an achievement test were used for collecting relevant data. Analysis of data shows that Agreeable is the most dominant trait for both boys and girls. Again, boys prefer multiple learning styles (multimodal) whereas girls prefer Auditory. In this study, some demographic factors, personality traits and learning styles of the learners were discovered to have an important connection with GPA. Study results indicate that there is a statistically significant association between Multimodal and academic achievement. At the same time, the relationship between the trait extraversion and EFL learners, English language achievement is also found statistically significant. The results of the research questions are highly expected to offer educators some idea of amending the country's state of affairs in terms of EFL teaching and learning not just in Bangladesh but in other non-English nations as well. Further study can be done in exploring the learning styles and personality traits of the teachers as it is observed in previous studies that these are significantly related to the academic excellence.
Efforts and focus regarding the COVID-19 pandemic have largely been centered around physical health. However, mental health is equally as critical-as such, psychological impacts can resonate adversely during and following the pandemic. This study examined a sample of 729 Bangladeshi people and aimed to assess the psychological impact of the pandemic. Through this replication analysis, the results supported the validation and reliability of the COVID-19 Worry Scale on a Bangladeshi population. The validation of another COVID-19 mental health measure can help determine who is mentally affected by the pandemic and the extent of COVID-19's psychological impact.
This desk work study is based on data of some relevant survey, related reports and articles. To study benefit, the paper compares employment of major occupation and level of education and unemployment rate on level of education. It finds evidence of better job position by level of education whilst unemployment rate increases gradually from No-Education level to HSC level; Drops down at the graduation level and then gradually increase at the Masters level. Again, to study wage differentials, the paper compares wage contribution by different level of education attainment. It finds evidence of highest wage rate found in the level Class I-V whereas Technical and vocational level have the lowest wage rate. More interestingly is found that higher education level has lower wage rate than lower education level. Lastly, for both benefits and wage differentials, level of education attainment has less significance among themselves.

Bangladesh is a country with numerous number of cultural, social and religious diversity. Such in a pluralist society, it is not easy to identify the common values to be taught. Therefore it is necessary to develop pupils’ values to show respect to others cultures and promote mutual tolerance and understanding through Value Education (VE). The purpose of the research was to explore teachers’ and students’ opinion to include VE as a course in higher education level in Bangladesh. It was a qualitative study and data was collected from the university teachers and students via semi-structured interview. In this study it has been found that religion is a sensitive issue to be taught in VE class which may cause conflict between teacher and students. Participants suggested that VE contents should be practical rather than be theoretical only. One of the challenges to include VE course was the influence of job market economy and because of it students would consider the course as a burden, not to fit for having jobs in future. One of the recommendations of this research was that VE teachers should be open, liberal, and respectful to students’ believe to manage the classroom conflict.
