This article is based on the low ability of mathematical literacy and learning independence of learners. This article aims to describe the role of the PBL model of mathematical literacy and learning independence. The type of research used in this article is quantitative descriptive research conducted on students of class VIII MTs Darul Wasi'ah Simalinyang through interviews with learners and teachers, observation, and literature review analyzed descriptively.
First birth interval is one of the examples of survival data. One of the characteristics of survival data is its observation period that is fully unobservable or censored. Analyzing the censored data using ordinary methods will lead to bias, so that reducing such bias required a certain method called survival analysis. There are two methods used in survival analysis that are parametric and non-parametric method. The objective of this paper is to determine the appropriate method for modeling the birth of the first child. The exponential model with the inclusion of covariates is used as parametric method, considering that the newly married couples tend to have desire for having baby as soon as possible and such desire will be weakened by increasing age of marriage. The data that will be analyzed were taken from the Indonesia Demographic and Health Survey (IDHS) 2012. The result of data analysis shows that the birth of the first child data is not exponentially distributed thus the Cox proportional hazard method is used. Because of the suspicion that disproportional covariate exists, then the proportional hazard test is conducted to show that the covariate of age is not proportional, the generalized Cox proportional method is used, namely Cox extended that allows the inclusion of disproportional covariates. The result of analysis using Cox extended model indicates that the factors affecting the birth of the first child in Indonesia are the area of residence, educational history and its age.
Information Management and PSM Evaluation System is a system developed to replace the existing system at the Faculty of Computing. The existing system at the Faculty of Computing is a manual system in which all the evaluation process still utilises paper forms. PSM is divided into two phases; PSM1 and PSM2 and each phase has a different form for evaluation. This process is seen to be less systematic and imposes much time on the evaluator, coordinator and supervisor who are also lecturers. Information Management and PSM Evaluation System is designed to automate information management and evaluation of PSM to keep the information in the database. The scope of these systems focuses on admin, supervisor, evaluator and coordinator bound to PSM1 and PSM2. Some of the functions that can be operated on the system are evaluation, updating PSM students' information and generating reports. The chosen methodology is an Evolutionary Prototype which needs are taken care of the system during modifications. Requirements established during the interview is employed to form a common structure with the essential basic functions of the system. Therefore, Information Management and PSM Evaluation System was developed to automate the manual system to increase efficiency. The system was developed using ASP.net technology and Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 and has been successfully completed within the specified time.
Tulisan ini bertujuan menggambarkan sisi lain dari manajemen peningkatan mutu lembaga pendidikan Islam di Kota Medan. Manajemen peningkatan mutu berbasis sekolah merupakan alternatif baru dalam pengelolaan pendidikan yang lebih menekankan kepada kemandirian dan kreatifitas sekolah. Pengembangan manajemen tersebut, didesain untuk meningkatkan kemampuan sekolah dan masyarakat dalam mengelola perubahan pendidikan kaitannya dengan tujuan keseluruhan, kebijakan, strategi perencanaan, inisiatif kurikulum yang telah ditentukan oleh pemerintah dan otoritas pendidikan. Oleh karena itu, output pendidikan menuntut adanya perubahan sikap dan tingkah laku seluruh komponen sekolah mulai kepala sekolah, guru dan tenaga/staf administrasi termasuk orang tua dan masyarakat dalam memandang, memahami, membantu sekaligus sebagai pemantau yang melaksanakan monitoring dan evaluasi dalam pengelolaan sekolah yang bersangkutan dengan didukung oleh pengelolaan sistem informasi yang presentatif dan valid. Akhir dari semua itu ditujukan kepada keberhasilan sekolah untuk menyiapkan pendidikan yang bermutu bagi masyarakat.
This study aims to determine the factors that become the strengths and weaknesses, the factors that become challenges and threats, knowing how the position of CV STAR PRATAMA server business compared with other server business and strategy that must be applied by the CV STAR PRATAMA server business. From the results of the study using SWOT analysis shows that based on the SWOT diagram, CV STAR PRATAMA has a position in quadrant I. In this quadrant is very profitable, based on the Matrix IE (Internal-External Matrix) then CV STAR PRATAMA is on the cell and analysis results In the final stage of using QSPM, it can be seen that the current strategy is one of the ST (Strength-Threat) strategy that is by improving the excellent service and after sales service to satisfy the customer.
