ResumoRegiões de clima quente úmido, como a cidade de Maceió, situada no nordeste brasileiro, são caracterizadas climaticamente por apresentarem pequenas flutuações diárias de temperatura do ar e alta umidade. Para a obtenção de um melhor desempenho térmico, as construções devem evitar ganhos de calor pela radiação solar e dissipar o calor produzido internamente, assim como o absorvido pelo seu envelope, e a ventilação natural exerce função fundamental para essa dissipação. Este trabalho analisou a ventilação natural no meio urbano em diferentes arranjos construtivos considerando um recorte da cidade de Maceió. Utilizaram-se simulações com o programa Envi-Met 4.0, em uma quadra típica exposta às condições climáticas. Foram simulados oito modelos, variando os parâmetros gabarito, recuos progressivos e forma dos edifícios. Resultados indicam no modelo Compacto 4 e Linear 4 reduções da esteira de vento e melhor distribuição da ventilação natural, influenciada pela combinação entre elevado gabarito e recuos do edifício. Fato que vem sendo desconsiderado na legislação urbanística da maioria das cidades brasileiras.

O presente artigo tem por objetivo avaliar a eficiência energética de uma edificação pública de ensino à luz do Regulamento Técnico da Qualidade para o Nível de Eficiência Energética de Edifícios Comerciais, de Serviços e Públicos (RTQ-C). O levantamento de dados foi realizado através do projeto arquitetônico e visitas in loco. Estas informações foram utilizadas para gerar uma estimativa do nível de eficiência energética da edificação, utilizando a ferramenta WebPrescritivo. Espera-se que o conhecimento do desempenho energético, através da aplicação do RTQ-C, seja um importante instrumento norteador para ações de conscientização e Educação Ambiental que possam minimizar o impacto causado pela edificação e sociedade ao meio ambiente.
