RESUMOObjetivo: O presente estudo teve como objetivo conhecer a realidade vivencial do Médico, no cumprimento de suas atribuições na Estratégia Saúde da Família (ESF). Métodos: Trata-se de uma pesquisa de campo descritiva, quantitativa e qualitativa, onde a coleta de dados foi realizada por meio de entrevistas. Os entrevistados foram médicos com pelo menos seis meses de experiência de trabalho nas ESFs. O processo analítico empregado foi análise no programa de estatística SPSS v.21 e análise temática de Bardin. Resultados: A amostra foi composta por 10 profissionais médicos, com média de idade de 34,5 anos, dos quais 50% possuíam especialização, 40% referiu tempo de atuação entre 6 meses e 1 ano, 50% mencionaram ausência de capacitação permanente e 90% relatam que possuíam conhecimento de todas as atribuições preconizadas pelo Ministério da Saúde. Destacaram ainda que a baixa disponibilidade de medicamentos, a demora em conseguir consultas especializadas e exames e equipe incompleta, dificultam suas atividades, mas, em contrapartida, o bom relacionamento com a equipe, o conhecimento e o vínculo com a população facilitam a prática médica. Conclusão: Constatou-se que a maioria dos profissionais apresenta tempo de atuação na ESF entre 6 meses a 1 ano, sendo que, entre os especialistas ocorreu um predomínio em Saúde da Família e Comunidade. Observouse ainda que, quase à totalidade desses profissionais relatam possuir conhecimento de todas as atribuições médicas preconizadas pelo Ministério da Saúde, e que, segundo a maioria, a baixa disponibilidade de medicamentos dificultam a sua prática, porém, o bom relacionamento com a equipe facilita suas atividades.Palavras chave: Atenção Primária à Saúde; Médico; Saúde da Família. ABSTRACTObjective: The objective of this study was to know the Physician's experiential reality, in the fulfillment of his attributions in the Family Health Strategy (ESF). Methods: This is a descriptive, quantitative and qualitative field research, where the data collection was performed through interviews. The interviewees were physicians with at least six months of work experience in the FHS. The analytical process used was analysis in the statistical program SPSS v.21 and thematic analysis of Bardin. Results: The sample consisted of 10 medical professionals, with a mean age of 34.5 years, of which 50% had specialization, 40% reported duration of work between 6 months and 1 year, 50% mentioned absence of permanent training and 90 % reported that they had knowledge of all the functions recommended by the Ministry of Health. They also emphasized that the low availability of medications, the delay in obtaining specialized consultations and examinations and incomplete staff, hamper their activities, but, on the other hand, the good relationship with the team, knowledge and the bond with the population facilitate medical practice.
