Este estudo consiste em uma revisão sistemática da literatura que objetiva análise de concerns dos usuários em artigos sobre o desenvolvimento de cadeiras de rodas publicados internacionalmente no período entre 2007 e 2021. A análise dos artigos baseia-se no conhecimento das áreas das publicações, das metodologias empregadas nos projetos e na forma de obtenção dos concerns e tipologia dos mesmos. Ao final, foi possível perceber a importância dada aos aspectos técnicos e ergonômicos das cadeiras de rodas em detrimento do valor estético e simbólico de tais produtos, o que interfere na aceitação e identificação do usuário para com o produto.
As cadeiras de rodas, apesar de serem dotadas de valores simbólicos e estéticos, são projetadas considerando seus requisitos técnicos como os mais importantes. Associada com outros fatores, a forma com a qual são desenvolvidas acarreta no estigma das cadeiras de rodas, fazendo com que sejam associadas automaticamente à deficiência e à forma de participação da pessoa com deficiência na sociedade. O estigma, por sua vez, quando inserido em um contexto de uma criança usuária de cadeira de rodas, atinge os pais, que, além de terem dificuldades com a deficiência, desenvolvem decepção com relação à condição da criança e não conseguem aceitar a realidade. O impacto também é percebido na própria criança com deficiência, que tem sua autoestima e seu desenvolvimento prejudicados. Diante dessa realidade, o objetivo deste trabalho é o desenvolvimento de uma cadeira de rodas infantil com foco em seus atributos estéticos e simbólicos, visando a ressignificação do produto para a criança, sua família e, consequentemente, para a sociedade como um todo, afastando-o do estigma e ressaltando seus pontos positivos. A partir da metodologia de transposição de requisitos estéticos e simbólicos do projeto em atributos formais do produto, os requisitos de projeto levantados na etapa inicial do desenvolvimento foram trabalhados de forma a facilitar sua exploração no processo criativo e de geração de alternativas e, por fim, na sua inserção e percepção no produto final. Como resultado, é apresentada uma cadeira de rodas manual com acessórios plásticos coloridos, intercambiáveis e provenientes de formas extraídas a partir de conceitos relacionados com os requisitos de projeto.
Este artigo apresenta o projeto de desenvolvimento de uma coleção de joias conceituais multifuncionais, as quais podem ser utilizadas como objetos de decoração. A coleção Oblongo, composta por três braceletes e um suporte, foi idealizada como tema para o Trabalho Final de Graduação do Curso de Design da Universidade Franciscana, tendo como embasamento temas como a joalheria contemporânea, leis da Gestalt e sustentabilidade, e a metodologia aplicada de acordo com os preceitos de Löbach ( 2004) com complementos de Baxter (2000). Dessa forma, obtiveram-se, como resultados, três braceletes em madeira e prata, os quais compreendem dimensões compatíveis tanto com o uso como adorno, quanto na forma de itens de decoração, quando apoiados no suporte que também compõe a coleção.
