A l’ère de la COP 22 abritée par le Maroc, la problématique de l’engagement RSE constitue de plus en plus une thématique d’actualité à l’échelle nationale. En effet, la responsabilité sociale a toujours existé dans l’acte d’entreprendre. Toutefois, une évolution a fait de la RSE aujourd’hui un concept, une pratique voire une démarche autrement plus développée. Elle n’est nullement l’apanage des seules grandes entreprises. En effet, les PME seraient aussi concernées par ses enjeux. Néanmoins, la RSE ne peut se penser indépendamment du contexte dans lequel l’entreprise est ancrée. L’assise locale des PME amène le dirigeant à posséder une responsabilité sociale de proximité. Le présent papier essaie de montrer la spécificité des pratiques responsables dans les PME notamment dans leurs dimensions sociales et ce à travers une étude de cas à visée exploratoire et compréhensive. Les enseignements tirés d’une telle étude est que la compréhension de la RSE et son appropriation au niveau des PME est essentiellement intuitive. Elle est étroitement liée au système de valeurs du dirigeant. De même, l’ancrage territorial des PME amène le dirigeant à pratiquer une RSE de proximité puisqu’elle représente une réalité contextualisée.
