Ferromagnetism is found in the CdGeAs:Mn systems. These are heterogeneous magnets, they consist of a ferromagnetic and superparamagnetic phases. Portion of first phase increases with a level of doping. An origin of ferromagnetism in CdGeAs 2 :Mn is connected with the existence of vacancies (Cd, V C , Mn)GeAs 2 or non-stoichiometric (Cd, Ge, Mn)GeAs 2 , as only in this case the ferromagnetic state is more advantageous than a spin glass-like state on theoretical estimations. MnAs or related compounds were found in them by accurate X-ray measurements. A magnetization was determined using SQUID magnetometer and a paramagnetic susceptibility by a weight method with an electromagnetic compensation. An electrical resistivity was measured by a four-probe method. Figure 1 gives the specific magnetization M in the magnetic field H = 50 kOe as a function of temperature T of all the samples investigated in this paper. Figure 2 shows the M(T) curves of sample CdGeAs 2 with 3 mass%
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
