Neste texto, são discutidos aspectos relativos ao ensino de gramática no âmbito da disciplina Gramática, Variação e Ensino, do Profletras. A partir de uma abordagem autoetonográfica, evidencia-se que o ensino produtivo de gramática parte inicialmente da desconstrução de dogmas acerca de fatos da língua que perpassam as práticas dos professores-mestrandos de Língua Portuguesa.
O efeito gatilho refere-se à manutenção das mesmas marcas linguísticas em uma sequência discursiva. Em situações de interação, tais como em entrevistas sociolinguísticas, o efeito gatilho se dá pela repetição de traços associados ao verbo da pergunta do entrevistador no verbo da resposta do entrevistado. Neste trabalho, analisamos os graus de continuidade estabelecidos pelas categorias verbais de tempo, aspecto, modalidade e item lexical, numa escala do mais ao menos contínuo, tomando como protótipo do efeito gatilho as ocorrências com o mesmo tempo, mesmo aspecto, mesma modalidade e mesma sequência discursiva. Os dados utilizados na análise foram extraídos da amostra Entrevistas Sociolinguísticas do banco de dados do Grupo de Estudos em Linguagem, Interação e Sociedade (GELINS). Para tanto, controlamos a correlação entre as categorias verbais e o grau de integração. Os resultados estatísticos apontam que das três categorias verbais controladas, a modalidade é a que menos engatilha o tópico.
