Department of Radiation Inz,estiqations, Acxzdemy of Sciences of the Azerbaidzltan SSH, Baku') Magnetoelectric Investigation of the System BiFeOr-l'b(Feo.,Jbo.a)03 BY I. H. ISMAILZADE, R. M. ISMAILOV, A. I. IILEKPEROV, and I ! . ill. SALAEV The temperature and concentration dependences of the magnetoelectric (ME) H signal Pi,, and the critical magnetic field st,renght H , are studied. The continuity of these dependences in the region 30 to 93 rnolo/L BiFeO, shows that these materials possess t.he same t.ype of electric ordering and are ferroelcctrics. The completely contrary abrupt change of Pin and 11, in the region 93 molO,(o BiFeO, indicates an appearance of the ot#her electric ordering typean antiparallel disposition of the electric dipoles, i.e. a n antiferroelectric ordering. It is shown that in any case at positive temperatures. BiFeO, is aiitifcrroelectric possessing a polar space group.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
