Im Rahmen einer Übersicht der Tilia‐Hochblätter Europas stellt der Verfasser im ersten Teil die aus Rumänien beschriebenen Reste vor, im zweiten Teil werden Hochblätter aus Europa besprochen. Hierbei ergeben sich zwei Gruppen: einerseits Hochblätter, denen Stiel und Fruchtstiel fehlen (vom Typ Tilia longebracteata ANDRAE), andererseits solche mit Stiel und Fruchtstiel. Die These von nur einer Tilia‐Art im Mio‐Pliozän Europas kann nicht bestätigt werden.
Auf der Basis von Literaturdaten werden die Ficus‐Arten einiger fossiler Blattfloren Europas einer kriti‐schen Durchsicht unterzogen. Argumente für ein reiches Vorkommen der Gattung Ficus im Zeitraum Eozän — unteres Miozän gibt es nicht, der größte Teil der sogenannten Ficus‐Arten gehört zu anderen Gattungen.
