We investigate the coherent population trapping (CPT) resonances excited in rubidium atoms by the femtosecond optical comb in magnetic field. The light shift of resonances was observed and studied.
The interaction of circularly polarized weak probe wave with the molecular iodine driven by the strong pump wave with the opposite polarization has been theoretically studied. It is shown that the phenomenon of electromagnetically induced transparency in the iodine vapour can be observed for moderate intensity ('-'1O-1OO W/cm2) of the pump wave. The group velocity of the probe wave can decrease to 0. ic.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
