The aim of the study was to evaluate how the electronic tender advertisement system affects the the operational performance of SMEs in Kenya. Schumpeter’s theory of entrepreneurship has been applied to ground the study. A descriptive study design was adopted. The target population for the study included 2500 SMEs operating in Murang’a County. The Yamane sample formula was used to determine a sample size of 189 SMEs. Drop and pick method was used in administering questionnaires with a response of 88%. The data collected was cleaned before being processed by use of SPSS version 23. Multiple regression analysis was used to test the hypotheses. R2 of 0.671 postulated that 67.1% of the operational performance of SMEs can be attributed to e-tender advertisement. It was concluded that there is a significant effect between E-tender advertisement and SMEs' operational performance. The study recommended that for easier visibility on upcoming tender contracts, firms should opt advertising tender on the most visited or accessible media platform
This study was carried out to assess the effect of integrated employee training on sustainable mobility of Matatu Sacco in public transport sector in Nairobi County. Training in transport sector is of paramount importance as it makes the drivers more responsible which in turn reduces road accident, vehicle maintenance and enhances proper handling of passengers and creates an improved public image for the sector. The study comprised of 177 Sacco Managers representing all the Matatu Sacco registered by NTSA in Nairobi County in 2015.NTSA, 2015. The study was guided by positivism philosophy where census was applied and adopted mixed method research design. Data from the Sacco Managers was collected using a structured questionnaire, while an interview schedule was used for the representatives from both the MoT and VOA. Data was analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics, and the results revealed that influence of integrated employee training, had significant influence on sustainable mobility of Matatu Saccos in public transport sector in Nairobi County, Kenya. The results also revealed that there has been training of simple technical skills, such as, maintenance of vehicles and first aid to the drivers. It can be concluded that training drivers on safety improves public image in Matatu Saccos. Recommendations can be made that it is important to conduct training needs assessment before training employees to ensure missing gaps or mismatch on the skills are well filled or captured to ensure training objectives are achieved effectively. This would enable both the ministry of transport and Sacco management to develop competent training programs for its employees.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to establish the effect of the regulatory environment on the relationship between strategic transport integration and sustainable mobility of Matatu Saccos in Nairobi County, Kenya. Materials and Methods: The study was guided by Positivism philosophy while descriptive research design was adopted. The target population was 177 Sacco Managers and two representatives, one from MOT and other from MVOA respectively. The whole population of 179 respondents was used in the study hence; the study employed the census approach. The questionnaire was pilot tested on 18 respondents who were selected randomly. The study applied Cronbach's alpha and the results displayed a high level of internal consistency hence infers that the research tool used in the study was reliable. The data collection instrument was a semi-structured questionnaire, which were dropped and picked later. A semi-structured interview guide was also used. Data was analysed using descriptive and SPSS Version 24. Results: The findings indicate that there exists a statistically significant, positive effect of strategic integration on sustainable mobility of Matatu Saccos in Nairobi County, Kenya. The R square in the moderated models changed from 71.3% to 80.9% indicating 9.6% increase in variation as a result of the regulatory environment moderating effect. Further, the increase was statistically significant; this implies that regulatory environment does significantly moderate the effect of strategic integration and sustainable mobility of Matatu Saccos in Nairobi County, Kenya. Unique contribution to theory, practice and policy: The study recommended that both the Ministry of Transport and Sacco management develop a punitive measure to curb corruption. The other recommendation is that they should also develop regulatory policies to ensure that vehicles are regularly inspected to confirm their minimum road worthiness to increase safety and increase passenger comfort. This will also promote green environment that will reduce the health hazards of vehicle emission. Additionally, the policy can enhance traffic discipline which is poorly enforced. and also provide basic statistics on transport system.

(rho = 0.809, p value <0.05). Regression analysis also showed that in general, integrated ticketing is significant in explaining the variation in sustainable mobility of Matatu Sacco’s in Nairobi County, Kenya (β = 1.046, t = 15.872, p<0.05). Unique contribution to theory, practice and policy: The study recommended that, the Ministry of Transport and the management of the Saccos should formulate substantial policies on how to handle ticketing where the government imposes control of fares. This ensures that there is functional guidance on charging the passengers, which would, in turn, improve customer satisfaction and improve company image.
