Hypertension is a disease that is risk for the elderly. The inability of the elderly to perform self care has an impact on health status. Self care in improper food management in the elderly with hypertension is the focus of attention to maintain the quality of life of the elderly. Family and elderly knowledge will be related to the implementation of self care elderly hypertension. This study aims to analyze the characteristics of the family (income, family assistance), knowledge and self care of the hypertension elderly diet at the medokan ayu community health center in surabaya. This research uses correlational analytic design with the cross sectional approach. The population in this study is the elderly hypertension at the medokan ayu community health center in surabaya. The sampling technique used was simple random sampling so as to obtain 44 elderly into the sample in this study. The independent variable is family characteristics (family income, and family assistance) as well as knowledge about eating patterns. The dependent variable is selfcare on a diet. Data were collected using a questionnaire sheet and then analyzed using the spearman rank and chi-square with a significant level <0.05. The results showed there was a relationship between family characteristics (income with a significance value of 0.04, family assistance with a significance value of 0.02, while the knowledge of the elderly with self care in the elderly hypertension diet significance value of 0.03. Elderly with hypertension requires assistance in self care. Keywords : family, knowledge, selfcare, elderly, hypertension
Hypoalbuminemia is a condition in which albumin levels are less than 3.8 g / dl. Management of hypoalbumin can be done on a high high in protein such as toman fish extract (Chana Micropetes). Toman fish extract contains globular protein which can be used as an alternative diet in increasing albumin levels. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of toman fish extract on increasing albumin levels in mencit (Mus musculus). This research is an experimental research design with Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Samples using Mus musculus with the criteria of male sex, body weight 25-40 grm and 2 months old. The number of samples consisted of 32 animals consisting of 2 groups, 16 control groups and 16 treatment groups. Intervention by giving toman fish extract for 14 days. Research instruments, albumin levels and observation sheets. Data were tested statistically with Independent Sample t Test. The results, this study showed the average value of albumin levels was 5.60 gr / dl in the treatment group so that an increase in albumin levels. There was a significant effect (p = 0,000 <α = 0.05) between the administration of toman fish extract to the increase in albumin levels in mencit (Mus Muculus). Conclusion, giving toman fish extract can increase albumin levels in mencit. So that toman fish extract can be used as a high-protein alternative diet for hypoalbumin sufferers. Keywords: hypoalbumin, toman fish, (Chana Micropetes).
Robust regression on M estimation and S estimation is the Ordinary Least Square (OLS) regression on the data outlier. East Java is one of the provinces in Indonesia with a high case fatalitiy rate (1.34%). The raising of Dengue Haemoragic Fever (DHF) in East Java has been influenced by climate, population density, human behavior, and environmental sanitation. This study aimed to compare robust regression research by using M estimation and S estimation on the factors that affect IR DHF. This was done to get the best model regression on the data outlier based on the biggest R2 adjusted and the smallest MSE. This study utitlized observational research with a non-reactive research design using secondary data. The independent variable consisted of population density, healthy behavior, healthy living environment house, and precipitation in East Java in 2017. The dependent variable was incident rate of DHF in 2017. The population included 38 regencies in East Java, while the sample was 35 regencies/cities selected using simple random sampling. The analysis used robust regression on M estimation and S estimation weighting by Tukey’s Bisquare. Robust regression on S estimation was found to be the best robust regression on data outlier with R2 adjusted (0.996) and MSE (0.229). Robust regression on S estimation was = 54.826 + 0.011 (population density) – 0.136 (% healthy behavior) - 0,404 (% healthy house ) - 0,005 (precipitation). Some factors that affect IR DHF can be the main focus for the prevention and control of DHF for the government and society. Administration of oral hypoglycemic drugs and insulin is one of the most common pharmacological treatments given to people with diabetes mellitus. This treatment is carried out in the long term so that it causes side effects and is carried out continuously so that it will affect the financial condition of the diabetes mellitus patient. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of black garlic extract on decreasing blood glucose levels in mice (mus musculus). This study uses the design of True Experimental design (pretest-posttest with control group design). The population is mice in Pusvetma Surabaya. Sampling method uses Non Probability Sampling Purposive Sampling type. Samples taken were 30 mice consisting of 15 intervention groups and 15 control groups. Data was collected using observation sheets, then analyzed using Independent sample t test and Dependent sample t test with a significance level of 5 0.05. The results showed: Using the test Independent sample T test obtained a significance value ρ = 0,000 It can be concluded that there is an effect of black onion extract to reduce blood glucose levels in mice. In the paired t-test test in the treatment group showed ρ = 0,000 that there were differences in blood glucose levels before being given extracts of garlic and after being given intervention. It is expected that black garlic can be used as an alternative medicine to reduce blood glucose levels.Keyword : Ekstrak of black garlic, Blood sugar levels, mus musculus
