Досліджено, що в різних умовах розташування та функціонального призначення зелених зон міст Львова та Дубляни відбуваються різні реакції досліджуваних деревних видів – дуба звичайного та багряника японського – на зміни навколишнього природного середовища. Техногенні емісії зумовлюють певні зміни до фосфатизації, алкалізації та інтенсивного забруднення ґрунтів міських територій різного типу хімічними елементами та важкими металами від діяльності людини. Під час досліджень виявлено диференціацію метаболічних адаптацій від комплексного впливу урботехногенного середовища на рослини. Проаналізовано актуальні зміни хімічного складу листків дерев за показниками вмісту важких металів, азотистих та безазотистих метаболітів. Установлено істотно більше накопичення вмісту хімічних елементів в асиміляційному апараті дуба звичайного та багряника японського у насадженнях на досліджуваних територіях, виявлено їх видоспецифічні особливості щодо золоакумулятивної здатності. Багряник японський виявився ефективним щодо очищення довкілля від забруднень декоративним деревним видом, який доцільно впроваджувати у зелені зони населених місць. Під впливом трансформації ґрунтових умов й забруднення в асиміляційних органах деревних рослин відбувалися структурно-метаболічні зміни, спрямовані на пристосування видів у нових для них умовах навколишнього середовища. Дуб звичайний демонстрував ознаки стійкості метаболізму асиміляційних органів до урботехногенних змін навколишнього середовища дещо краще, ніж інтродукований вид. З'ясовано, що багряник японський проявив пластичність структури і пропорцій метаболітів листків, динамічно змінював її у новому для себе середовищі акліматизації і, при цьому виконував ефективну металоакумуляційну функцію у зоні сильного техногенного забруднення – середовищі Львова.
