Das aus 3-Methylen-bicyclo[3.3. I]nonanon-(7) (1) durch Lithiumalanat-Reduktion erhaltliche 3-Methylen-bicyclo[3.3.1 Jnonanol-(7) (2) geht mit Sauren in 1 -Methyl-2-oxa-adamantan (3) iiber. 1 erleidet mit Quecksilberacetat einen ahnlichen Ringschlulj unter Bildung von 3-Hydroxy-1 -acetoxymercurimethyI-2-oxa-adamantan (4), das in 3-Hydroxy-1 -methyl-2-oxa-adamantan (6) iiberfuhrbar ist. Diese Verbindung entsteht auch bei der Einwirkung von Methyllithium oder Methylmagnesiumjodid auf Bicyclo~3.3.l]nonandion-(3.7). Analog reagieren auch andere metallorganische Verbindungen.
rnIn einer friiheren Veroffentlichung 2 ) konnten wir zeigen, daR 3-Methylen-bicyclo-[3.3.l]nonanon-(7) (1) durch Saurekatalyse leicht zu in 3-Stellung substituierten Adamantanen cyclisiert. Von anderer Seite3) wurde unterdessen beschrieben, daD der p-Toluolsulfonsaureester des 3-Methylen-bicyclo[3.3.l]nonanols-(7) (2) durch Saurebehandlung glatt RingschluD zu 1-Hydroxy-adamantan erleidet.Wir fanden, daD das von uns ebenfalls durch Lithiumalanat-Reduktion von 1 erhaltene 3-Methylen-bicyclo[3.3.l]nonanol-(7) (2) durch Saurekatalyse in eine Verbindung ubergeht, der auf Grund der Analysenergebnisse und des IR-Spektrums die Struktur des 1-Methyl-2-oxa-adamantans (3) zukommt. Dieser leicht verlaufende RingschluB zum 2-Oxa-adamantan-Ringsystem spricht fur die Struktur 2 des ungesattigten Alkohols und bestatigt die Befunde von Eakin, Martin und Parker3), nach denen dieses Isomere bei der Reduktion mit Lithiumalanat iiberwiegend entsteht. 1) XXXV. Die katalytische Hydritrung von Bicyclo[3.3. I]nonandion-(3.7) (1) fiihrte in glatter Reaktion zu 1 -Hydroxy-2-oxa-adamantan (111). das nach Austausch der Hydroxylgruppe gegen Halogen und anschliebnde katalytische Hydrierung das bereits bekannte 2-Oxa-adamantan (VII) liefert. Die Kinetik der Solvolyse des 1 -Brom-2sxa-adamantans wurdeverglichen rnit der des 1-Brom-adamantans. 2) H. STETTER und P. TACKP., Chern. Ber. 96,694 [1963].
