This article deals with possibility of solar system connection with adsorption cooling system. Waste heat from solar collectors in summer is possible to utilize in adsorption cooling systems, which desorption temperatures have to be lower than temperature of heat transport medium operation temperature. For verification of work of this system was constructed on the Department of power engineering on University of Zilina solar adsorption cooling device. Solar equipment is used in the summer periods only partially for hot water, whereas is the lowest heat demand for heating, while solar collectors heat profits are currently the highest at this time. Therefore rises the idea of using this excess heat for cooling, because in summer is highest consumption of energy for cooling.
The technology of dry anaerobic fermentation is still meeting with some scepticism, and therefore in most biogas plants are used wet fermentation technology. Fermentation process would be not complete without an optimal controlled condition: dry matter content, density, pH, and in particular the reaction temperature. If is distrust of dry fermentation eligible it was on the workplace of the Department of Power Engineering at University of Zilina built an experimental small-scale biogas station that allows analysis of optimal parameters of the dry anaerobic fermentation, in particular, however, affect the reaction temperature on yield and quality of biogas.
The article deals with the analysis of the results of long-term experimental operation of a micro-cogeneration unit with high-temperature fuel cells for natural gas. Due to its performance parameters, the unit is primarily intended for installation in a family house or in a small building. Long-term testing operation under laboratory conditions verified the power and emission parameters of the micro-cogeneration unit in steady and transient modes, which may occur during operation in a family house. Measured values of heat and electricity demand in a real family house served as a basis for the test operation, according to which a load algorithm was created. Long-term testing has confirmed the difficulty of correctly designing the installation of a micro-cogeneration unit in a family house for its specifics, such as the highly variable consumption of electrical and thermal energy depending, for example, on the season and the daily regime of its inhabitants.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
