Dann bezeichnet sie keine Vorstellung, ist nicht einmal eine Vorstellung, sondern scheint auf seltsame Weise 'die Sache' selbst zu sein; sie erzählt nicht vom Süßschmecken, sondern schmeckt süß; sie erzählt nicht von magischen Kräften, sondern hat magische Kraft; sie erzählt nicht von einem Gott, sondern ist seine Anwesenheit: in der jüdischen Tradition etwa sind Buchstaben der Körper oder zumindest die Insignien Gottes, die ganze Tora stellt seinen Namen vor 3 etc.. Und gerade dadurch eröffnet sich eine unendliche Bewegung von Bedeutungen, eröffnet sich eine Kommunikation, die auch Gefühlsbewertungen etc. als gleich gültige, ›reale‹ 11 zu prozessieren vermag.Man kann aber in Menschen Ð metaphorisch Ð nur Raubtiere wahrnehmen, wenn man in Raubtieren Ð metaphorisch Ð Menschen wahrnimmt, ihnen Grausamkeit oder Mut ansieht (Eigenschaften, die kein Ethologe an ihnen findet). Die Theriomorphisierung der Menschen ist eine Anthropomorphisierung der Tiere: beide, Menschen und Tiere, werden im metaphorischen Universum (gibt es ein anderes?) zu Gliedern einer (Gefühls)Kultur.Doch bringen diese wechselseitigen »Übertragungen« die Metapher nicht etwa im nachhinein zuwege, sie sind ihrer Möglichkeit als kulturelles Wissen Bedingung. Eine Kultur ist immer (auch) eine Metapherngemeinschaft: 12 Wölfe gelten ihr als grausam (wie Menschen), Löwen als mutig (wie Heroen); Menschen als grausam (wie Wölfe), Heroen als mutig (wie Löwen). (Und weil diese Kultur das seit vielen tausend Jahren, vielleicht seit den Neandertalern, ›weiß‹, ist es sinnlos, ihr vorzurechnen, daß Menschen, insbesondere Heroen, vielleicht so sein mögen, Wölfe und Löwen aber ganz sicher so nicht sind.) Das heißt: ein bewußtes Spiel von ›wörtlicher‹ und ›übertragener‹, von ›eigentlicher‹ und ›uneigentlicher‹ Bedeutung gibt es Ð anders, als unsere zweitausendfünfhundertjährigen Kalauer 13
