O objetivo desta investigação consistiu em conhecer qual é o conceito geral dos professores de Educação Física (EF) sobre educação mista em EF e que estratégias metodológicas utilizam os professores para trabalhar. Foram realizadas entrevistas semiestruturadas, procedendo-se análise do seu conteúdo. Destaca-se que, na categoria "Definição de coeducação" não existe um consenso entre os professores sobre o que é coeducação. A categoria "Uso de espaço motriz" revela que os meninos usam a maioria do espaço. A categoria "Linguagem" enfatiza que os professores admitem que exista uma linguagem sexista nas escolas, porém o seu uso é inconsciente.
The objective of this research was to compare the healthy behaviors and caries index of young people in school to obtain an overview of their lifestyles, which would enable the development of educational programs for the promotion of oral health. The study design was carried out using a descriptive, cross-sectional, and observational methodology with a mixed approach. 380 twelve-year-old students participated in this research conducted in the city of Riobamba-Ecuador. The techniques used were observational and surveys with their respective instruments, the Dental Clinical History, and the Health Behavior in School-aged Children 2014-Spain questionnaire. The community index of the Decayed, Missing due to caries, and Filled Teeth (DMFT) reflected a high level (6.47) in the study subjects. A variety of foods such as fruits, chips, vegetables, candy, sugar-containing drinks, meat, fish, dairy, and cereals were consumed at least once a week by most students. Two statistically significant associations were demonstrated in this investigation. The first one was between fruit consumption and the DMFT index, the second one was between vegetable consumption and the DMFT index. Both associations showed significant values (p) of 0.049 and 0.028, respectively; these were not determining indicators since caries is a multifactorial pathology, which can develop not only as a product of poor eating habits.
Apresentamos um estudo empírico descritivo realizado com 250 participantes do sexto ano da Educação Primária (EP), 130 meninas e 120 meninos de quatro centros escolares espanhóis com diferentes características, aplicando-se uma enquete de 10 itens para compreender os obstáculos que encontram as meninas na realização de atividade física (AF) e esporte, no tempo de lazer escolar. Os resultados indicam que existem diferenças de gênero na hora de praticar jogos e esportes, ainda que estejam se apresentando mudanças de conduta que fazem que meninos e meninas se agrupem com maior frequência para realizar atividades físicas e esportes.
Anaerobic threshold and respiratory compensation are used to determine the intensity of aerobic exercise. This study aims to compare heart rate values relative to the percentages of 50%, 60%, 70%, and 80%, a comparison calculated through the reserve heart rate (HRR) and reserve oxygen consumption (VO2R) equations corresponding to the oxygen consumption obtained by the direct method. The sample was composed of 11 men and 10 women: mean age, 21.4 ± 2.8 years. Volunteers performed a maximal treadmill test in which oxygen uptake was measured using the VO2000® metabolic analyzer. The mean body fat percentage was 15.68 ± 8.02% corresponding to a lean body mass of 54.8 ± 13.0 kg and a maximal oxygen uptake (VO2max) of 56.0 ± 8.4 mL/Kg·min−1. The measured intensities (50%, 60%, 70% and 80% of VO2max) presented significant differences (p < 0.05) for each reference value. Mean values calculated by the HRR equation demonstrated a tendency to underestimate the intensities, while the values calculated by the VO2R equation showed a tendency to overestimate the intensities. As the main conclusion, it is pointed out that both methods were effective for determining the intensity of aerobic training. However, they presented significant differences, and the equations should be adjusted to increase precision. Thus, the use of HRR is recommended for the determination of training intensities.
