A tecnologia na educação é tida como transformadora, como evidenciada em discursos publicitários e acadêmicos. Recentemente, políticas educacionais parecem compartilhar dessa noção. Assim, neste artigo temos como objetivo identificar as representações do Estado, da Tecnologia, da Língua Inglesa, de Estudantes e de Professores em uma notícia divulgada pelo Estado do Paraná sobre a recém-lançada plataforma “Inglês Paraná”. Nos ancoramos teoricamente na Análise Crítica de Discurso e em perspectivas críticas sobre tecnologia educacional. Empregamos categorias da Linguística Sistêmico-Funcional e da Representação de Atores Sociais para a análise. Os resultados mostram que essa política educacional é representada como benéfica e transformadora para alunos e professores, apresentando traços do discurso de de-escolarização e desqualificação de professores.
Publicado em um momento no qual a discussão sobre a educação bilíngue tem ganhado espaço na área da linguística aplicada – sobretudo, devido ao interesse mercadológico e seu reflexo em políticas públicas (BRASIL, 2020) –, “Educação Bilíngue: como fazer” é o terceiro volume sobre a temática organizado por Antonieta Megale. Com a intenção de situar a discussão acerca da educação bilíngue no contexto brasileiro, a obra focaliza as práticas de sala de aula em um viés teórico-prático. Nesse cenário, os capítulos visam aproximar, de forma ilustrativa, os aspectos históricos e os desafios discutidos nos dois volumes anteriores (MEGALE, 2019, 2020), respectivamente. Sendo assim, a obra é organizada em oito capítulos, assinados por autores brasileiros, que abordam questões situadas às práticas de sala de aula, relacionando oralidade, leitura, práticas imersivas e aspectos culturais – fundamentados teoricamente nas contribuições mais recentes para este campo de estudo.
Este trabalho identificou oportunidades de aprendizagem e limitações em uma proposta de voltada para a aprendizagem de inglês e literatura pela perspectiva dos multiletramentos. A análise fundamentada na Teoria da Atividade aponta que a proposta favoreceu os multiletramentos e aprendizagem da linguagem como prática social, e foi limitada por a) baixa adesão à divisão de trabalho; b) pouca colaboração da comunidade escolar para viabilizar o uso de tecnologias digitais; c) rejeição ao objeto de estudo por parte dos estudantes; d) não-ressignificação do celular como ferramenta pedagógica; e) escolhas pouco conscientes no processo de apropriação; e f) uso da língua portuguesa.
