Współcześnie rozpowszechnione jest łączenie działalności prasowej oraz usługi hostingu w ramach jednego portalu internetowego, na którym internauci mogą zamieszczać wpisy dotyczące publikowanych materiałów prasowych, komentując je lub dyskutując w ich kontekście między sobą. Wpisy te, zwłaszcza gdy dotyczą spraw budzących społeczne emocje, mogą naruszać dobra osobiste osób trzecich. Przedmiotem artykułu są wybrane zagadnienia dotyczące odpowiedzialności cywilnej administratora portalu internetowego za wpisy internautów naruszające dobra osobiste osób trzecich, z uwzględnieniem obowiązków spoczywających na administratorze oraz podstaw wyłączenia jego odpowiedzialności. W rozważaniach uwzględniono opracowania naukowe oraz orzecznictwo sądowe dotyczące tej tematyki. Autorzy poddali krytyce bieżące orzecznictwo w tych sprawach, wskazując także na jego potencjalne skutki w sferze prawnej i praktycznej dla działalności hostingowej i prasowej.
