Resumo: Este artigo é resultado de uma pesquisa que objetivou examinar a representação de ciência disseminada pela pedagogia cultural posta em operação pela série de animação Rick e Morty. Para alcançá-lo, tomamos como material empírico os episódios da 1ª temporada e os apreciamos a partir de contribuições teórico-metodológicas da produção foucaultiana sobre discurso. A análise empreendida possibilitou identificar que a série Rick e Morty propaga efeitos de verdade sobre o que é ciência através de enunciados recorrentes que não estão alinhados a discussões epistemológicas contemporâneas. Desse modo, ela contribui para a difusão de uma representação limitada de ciência que precisaria ser problematizada.Palavras-chave: Representação de ciência; Pedagogias culturais; Artefatos culturais midiáticos; Análise de discurso; Filosofia da ciência.
