Introdução: A leucemia linfoide crônica (LLC) se dá pelo aumento da população clonal de linfócitos B disfuncional, onde há prevalência de linfócitos B maduros, localizados no sangue periférico, na medula óssea, baço e nos linfonodos. Esse tipo de leucemia afeta com maior frequência homens com idade igual ou superior a 55 anos. A LLC é uma doença hereditária e multifatorial. Objetivo: Compreender o comportamento das células B na leucemia linfoide crônica. Metodologia: Trata-se de uma revisão bibliográfica integrativa. A pergunta que norteou a elaboração desse manuscrito foi: ‘Como os linfócitos B participam da LLC?’. As buscas foram realizadas no período de setembro a outubro de 2022, nas bases de dados BVS e ScienceDirecct, utilizando os seguintes descritores indexados nos Descritores em Ciências da Saúde (DeCS) e Medical Subject Heading (MeSH): ‘Leukemia, B Cell, Chronic’, ‘Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia’, ‘Leukemia, Chronic B-Lymphocytic’, ‘Leucemia Linfocítica Crônica de Células B’, ‘Leucemia Linfocítica Crónica Tipo Células B’. Foram inclusos textos em português, inglês e espanhol publicados a partir de 2017, excluindo duplicidades e textos que não abordavam as células B como tema central do estudo. Resultados: Vê-se a LLC como uma neoplasia linfoproliferativa crônica, caracterizada pelo acúmulo de linfócitos B maduros no sangue periférico, linfonodos, baço e medula. Discussão: Observa-se que a apoptose desregulada dessas células resulta na agregação nesses sítios citados anteriormente. Conclusão: Necessita-se de mais estudos acerca do comportamento das células B na LLC, evidenciando as características desse tipo celular.
Objetivo: Apresentar um panorama sobre a fisiopatologia da Covid-19 e tratamentos medicamentosos utilizados no Brasil. Metodologia: Trata-se de uma revisão bibliográfica narrativa. Foram realizadas buscas em sites oficiais (Ministério da Saúde do Brasil; Butantan); bases de dados Cochrane, Google Scholar, Pubmed e Scielo e textos complementares. As buscas ocorreram entre fevereiro e junho de 2021 com os termos ‘Covid-19’, ‘Coronavírus’ ‘Pandemia’, ‘Vacinas Covid-19’, ‘SARS-CoV-2’ e ‘Terapias medicamentosas Covid-19’. Foram inclusos textos em inglês, português e espanhol, publicados a partir de 2020 e excluídos textos que não se relacionavam à temática. Resultados: Azitromicina, corticosteroides, antirretrovirais e anticoagulantes exemplificam fármacos usados no tratamento de Covid-19, além de prevenção com vacinas. Conclusão: No período desta revisão notou-se o esforço da comunidade científica no reposicionamento de fármacos para tratar a doença, mas não foram encontradas evidências que comprovassem a efetividade de um tratamento específico. As vacinas tornam-se um grande aliado na prevenção da doença.
O composto ácido 18-metileicosanoico é um tipo de ácido graxo que ocorre naturalmente nos cabelos e funciona como um componente chave da superfície cuticular. Especificamente, ele cria uma barreira hidrofóbica que ajuda a lubrificar os cabelos e manter sua aparência. O objetivo deste estudo foi examinar o papel do 18-MEA no cuidado dos cabelos e seu potencial impacto no comportamento e aparência de cada fio. Para guiar nossa investigação, formulamos a seguinte pergunta: "O ácido 18-metileicosanoico (18-MEA) é um fator significativo na influência das propriedades das fibras capilares e no aprimoramento da aparência dos cabelos?" Foi realizada uma revisão integrativa da literatura usando fontes como o Google Scholar e a Biblioteca Nacional de Medicina (PUBMED) com os descritores DeCS / MeSH: "ácido 18-metileicosanoico", "hair", "análise capilar". Foram incluídos artigos em português e inglês publicados entre 2002 e 2022, com critérios de exclusão baseados em relevância e acessibilidade, resultando na seleção de 14 artigos. A análise desses artigos revelou que a ausência de 18-MEA na superfície cuticular do cabelo pode levar a uma diminuição no ângulo de contato e um aumento na força de fricção. Além disso, estudos mostraram que a incorporação de 18-MEA por meio de formulações cosméticas pode resultar em hidrofobicidade persistente nos cabelos, destacando ainda mais sua importância na influência das propriedades capilares, como adesão e redução de fricção, promovendo uma aparência mais saudável para os cabelos.
