Introdução: A leucemia linfoide crônica (LLC) se dá pelo aumento da população clonal de linfócitos B disfuncional, onde há prevalência de linfócitos B maduros, localizados no sangue periférico, na medula óssea, baço e nos linfonodos. Esse tipo de leucemia afeta com maior frequência homens com idade igual ou superior a 55 anos. A LLC é uma doença hereditária e multifatorial. Objetivo: Compreender o comportamento das células B na leucemia linfoide crônica. Metodologia: Trata-se de uma revisão bibliográfica integrativa. A pergunta que norteou a elaboração desse manuscrito foi: ‘Como os linfócitos B participam da LLC?’. As buscas foram realizadas no período de setembro a outubro de 2022, nas bases de dados BVS e ScienceDirecct, utilizando os seguintes descritores indexados nos Descritores em Ciências da Saúde (DeCS) e Medical Subject Heading (MeSH): ‘Leukemia, B Cell, Chronic’, ‘Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia’, ‘Leukemia, Chronic B-Lymphocytic’, ‘Leucemia Linfocítica Crônica de Células B’, ‘Leucemia Linfocítica Crónica Tipo Células B’. Foram inclusos textos em português, inglês e espanhol publicados a partir de 2017, excluindo duplicidades e textos que não abordavam as células B como tema central do estudo. Resultados: Vê-se a LLC como uma neoplasia linfoproliferativa crônica, caracterizada pelo acúmulo de linfócitos B maduros no sangue periférico, linfonodos, baço e medula. Discussão: Observa-se que a apoptose desregulada dessas células resulta na agregação nesses sítios citados anteriormente. Conclusão: Necessita-se de mais estudos acerca do comportamento das células B na LLC, evidenciando as características desse tipo celular.
