Resumo A vinhaça apresenta grande potencial para utilização em solos agrícolas em que vem sendo amplamente disposta, principalmente na forma de fertirrigação. As alterações físicas, químicas e biológicas nas propriedades do solo proporcionam aumento da disponibilidade nutricional às culturas e, possivelmente, supressividade a fitopatógenos. No presente estudo, os efeitos da adição de vinhaça ao solo sobre a eclosão e reprodução dos nematóides formadores de galhas (Meloidogyne javanica e M. incognita) foram avaliados em experimentos realizados em condições de laboratório e em casa de vegetação. Os resultados indicaram que a exposição de ovos dos nematóides à vinhaça exerceu efeito negativo sobre a eclosão de ambas as espécies do parasito. A aplicação de doses crescentes de vinhaça reduziu a densidade de ovos e juvenis dos nematoides em cana-de-açúcar. O efeito supressivo do resíduo foi diretamente proporcional ao volume de vinhaça adicionado.
