Le sanctuaire de La Peyrouse est situé sur la commune de Saint-Félix-de-Villadeix en Dordogne. Il a été découvert en 2019 lors d'une campagne extensive de prospection magnétique, réalisée sur un site d'habitat protohistorique et antique. De nouvelles prospections géophysiques ciblées, combinant méthodes magnétique et électrique, ont été menées dans le cadre d'une thèse intégrée au projet RAPSODIE (Reconnaissance des Agglomérations Protohistoriques du Sud-Ouest : Développement, Imagerie, Environnement). Les résultats obtenus ont permis de documenter davantage ce bâtiment, en livrant son plan et une première vision verticale des vestiges conservés grâce à une section électrique transversale. Il s'agit d'un enclos fossoyé quadrangulaire d'environ 25 m de côté, ouvert à l'est, délimitant un espace interne aménagé d'environ 700 m². En 2020, une fouille archéologique a complété cette approche non destructive en identifiant précisément la source des anomalies magnétiques et électriques. La confrontation des données géophysiques et archéologiques permet ainsi d'appréhender le premier sanctuaire attesté du territoire des Pétrocores, au coeur d'une agglomération ouverte du III e s. av. J.-C., un type d'habitat groupé précoce encore mal connu en Europe celtique.
