Objective: To analyze the concept of Meaningful Learning, according to David Ausubel's Theory. Method: Integrative review using the Meleis's Theoretical Analysis model. Results: The following were identified as antecedents: Previous students' knowledge, potentially meaningful instructional material and student's willingness to learn. The attributes found were: Existence of previous knowledge that allows the connection with the new knowledge; interaction of previous and new knowledge in the cognitive structure; expansion of the cognitive structure through the incorporation of prior knowledge with the new. The consequent ones found: Existence of new knowledge in the cognitive structure of the student, that generate sense and meaning in the cognitive system of the student and that confers importance to him according to the utility for his daily life. Conclusion: The conceptual analysis carried out contributed to the establishment of a more complete definition for Meaningful Learning, which can be appreciated in teaching and research, regardless of the area of activity.

Method: qualitative, exploratory, descriptive study performed in two hospital institutions with 20 nurses working in medical clinics. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and analyzed by the Content Analysis technique in the Thematic Categorical modality. Results: the nurses' knowledge about collagenase in the treatment of pressure injuries was satisfactory; however, improvements pertinent to the inherent peculiarities of the evaluation criteria of the injuries and the use of the enzymatic substance are evidently necessary to achieve a more skilled assistance. Conclusion: technical and scientific knowledge is of paramount importance as it favors the elaboration of treatment and care strategies for the evolution of pressure injuries, including the use of the enzyme under study. Characterization of users at risk of developing diabetes: a cross-sectional study
Objective: Investigate the clinical management of patients with neoplastic wounds by nurses. Methods: This is an exploratory study, with qualitative approach, conducted in August 2014, with ten clinical nurses of a philanthropic hospital that provides care to patients with advanced cancer. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and data analysis was performed using the Minayo's Thematic Analysis Technique, which enabled the construction of one category and four subcategories. Results:The nurses' knowledge on the clinical management of wounds is weak and has many weaknesses involving patients with advanced cancer. Conclusion:One evidenced the need to invest in continuing education and implementation of protocols that support greater autonomy of nurses in decision-making, ensuring legal support to these professionals to improve care for people with neoplastic wounds.
