Objetivo: analisar o perfil epidemiológico de acidentes escorpiônicos em crianças e adolescentes em um centro de assistência toxicológica e apresentar o comportamento temporal das ocorrências. Método: estudo transversal, retrospectivo, realizado no Centro de Controle de Intoxicações no Noroeste do Paraná. A amostra foi constituída por fichas de notificação de crianças e adolescentes atendidas no centro de referência de 2014 a 2018. Foram analisadas 78 fichas por meio de estatística descritiva e para análise de tendência foi utilizado o teste de Mann-Kendall. Resultados: A maioria dos casos acometeu crianças de até cinco anos e do sexo masculino; grande parte foi classificada como leve, e dois evoluíram à óbito. Houve crescimento de casos no período. Conclusão: há incidência maior em crianças menores de cinco anos, e também uma crescente no número de casos ao longo do período estudado, o que configura um sério problema de saúde pública no município estudado e região.
A Sífilis, Vírus da Imunodeficiência Humana (HIV), Hepatite B e C têm aumentado o número de pessoas contaminadas, tornando-se um problema de saúde pública O profissional da saúde, realiza os testes rápidos para essas patologias principalmente na atenção primária, desta forma faz-se necessário a realização contínua de estratégias de educação continuada, visando a atualização dos protocolos e a segurança do profissional e paciente. Desta forma o objetivo desse estudo é relatar a experiência de uma estratégia de educação continuada realizada pelos discentes do estágio supervisionado em uma Estratégia de Saúde da Família. Esse relato de experiencia foi realizado em uma Estratégia de Saúde da Família (ESF) do Oeste Catarinense com a equipe multiprofissional, na qual primeiramente foi realizado um aprofundamento teórico e observação da realidade local para posterior elaboração e aplicação da educação continuada abordando principalmente o protocolo e avaliação correta dos testes rápidos e a utilização dos equipamentos de proteção individual (EPIs). Durante a realização da educação em saúde, foi possível observar pelo olhar de discente, que alguns profissionais estavam um pouco resistentes para receber o conhecimento/atualização. Porém ao decorrer da ação, os mesmos foram flexibilizando essa questão. Podemos observar que durante a experiencia alguns profissionais não se mostravam atentos ao uso dos EPIs, principalmente ao uso do óculos, durante a técnica de usar a lanceta perfurocortante e o microtubo para a coleta da gotícula para o teste, durante esse procedimento pode ocorrer a infecção do profissional, caso o mesmo não esteja usando o EPI. Em suma, essa estratégia de educação continuada pode proporcionar uma maior qualidade do atendimento aos pacientes e uma maior segurança para o profissional durante a realização dos testes rápidos.
