Este artigo descreve uma pesquisa exploratória em que se aplica técnica expressiva plástica a afásicos de expressão, vítimas de acidente vascular cerebral isquêmico (AVCI) no hemisfério esquerdo. Objetivo: Investigar os resultados da intervenção realizando estudos de caso com base no método clínico e análise qualitativa, com enfoque teórico da psicologia junguiana. Método: Utiliza testes antes e depois da intervenção, como critério externo: a técnica projetiva HTP - House-Tree-Person, aponta mudanças de personalidade condizentes com as observadas no processo; o teste de percepção emocional International Affective Picture System - IAPS, e seu sistema de registro de respostas Self-Assessment Manikin - SAM, auxilia a lançar hipóteses sobre a transformação emocional dos participantes; o European Brain Injury Questionnaire - EBIQ, fornece substratos para discutir a transformação da visão dos sujeitos sobre seus próprios problemas. Mediante o método do Discurso do Sujeito Coletivo identifica etapas do processo expressivo com conteúdos comuns ao grupo atendido. Resultados: Os resultados dos estudos de caso, do DSC e dos instrumentos de avaliação revelam que, ao final, os participantes, sem exceção, mostraram-se fortalecidos, mais próximos da sua própria realidade e enriquecidos no contato consigo mesmos e com o mundo externo. Conclusão: Os instrumentos de avaliação o confirmam, assinalando o valor terapêutico da técnica proposta e sugerindo que esta forma de intervenção pode ser útil no processo de reabilitação de afásicos.

O estudo de caso apresentado demonstra uma maneira de utilizar recursos expressivos em psicoterapia e a análise simbólica desse processo. Ele se dedica à trajetória de um paciente que, ao ingressar em psicoterapia, sofre de ansiedade intensa e não vê perspectivas na vida. A leitura psicodinâmica identifica a ação acentuada de complexos e a falta de contato com o mundo interno. Ao longo do processo o paciente acessa seu inconsciente mediante o contato com os sonhos, sua expressividade plástica e diálogo com a psicoterapeuta. Muitas conquistas são realizadas: os complexos materno e paterno são revisitados e transformados; a conscientização de conteúdos inconscientes por meio da compreensão simbólica oferece ao paciente um caminho para sua energia psíquica, o que resulta em uma nova vitalidade; a perspectiva simbólica passa a fazer parte da sua vida, antes aprisionada a uma visão literal, concreta. Uma vez em posse desses recursos, sua personalidade se fortalece e seu herói se manifesta, voltando a lhe oferecer protagonismo e perspectivas criativas na vida. Este trabalho busca, assim, aproximar estudo e prática em psicologia analítica: a pesquisa acadêmica, o atendimento clínico, a fundamentação teórica e o uso da expressividade plástica, sem a pretensão de esgotar as possibilidades de leitura e compreensão do caso ou das áreas de conhecimento abordadas.
Este artigo teve como objetivo analisar a obra “The Jung-White Letters”, destacando a importância do que se considera serem os temas centrais da obra: o arquétipo do Self, sua expressão na psique, sua natureza, dinâmica e propósito, e a imagem de Deus para a psicologia analítica. A metodologia aplicada à pesquisa foi a da análise de conteúdo. Em um debate interdisciplinar, Jung e White trataram de temas como interdisciplinaridade, ciência, teologia; a imagem de Deus para a psicologia analítica; o estudo do cristianismo como expressão do espírito de um tempo ou Zeitgeist; o bem e o mal; os símbolos. Na discussão da obra, destacou-se a existência de indicadores simbólicos de evolução da consciência, individual e coletiva, nas diversas representações de Deus, nas passagens do Velho e do Novo Testamento e na separação dos opostos no cristianismo. Por fim, reafirmou-se a relevância da leitura psicológica que se debruça sobre aspectos históricos e psicológicos da religião e a sua atualidade.
