Status of Ground Water Quality in The Village of Pedurenan, Mustikajaya District, East BekasiSanitation and poor hygiene practice and unsafe drinking water contributes to 88% of childhood deaths from diarrhea in worldwide. For children who survive often suffer from diarrhea contribute to nutritional problems, preventing children to be able to achieve their maximum potential. According to the Basic Health Research (Riskesdas) in 2013, the incidence and prevalence of diarrhea for all age groups in Indonesia is 3,5% and 7,0%. Respectively the incidence of diarrhea is closely associated with the quality of sanitation and groundwater used by society. This study aimed to determine the quality of water used for sanitation especially groundwater, in Sub Pedurenan, District Mustikajaya, East Bekasi. Results showed that groundwater quality inspection using the Most Probable Number (MPN) in RW 02, Village and District Pedurenan Mustikajaya, there were 4 samples were negative of coliform, and 25 coliform positive samples, with the highest number of 1100 cells / 100 mL. This indicates that ground water for sanitation and groundwater of sampling locations are generally contaminated by coliform bacteria.Keywords: groun water, coliform, diarrhea, water quality, MPN ABSTRAK Sanitasi dan perilaku kebersihan yang buruk serta air minum yang tidak aman berkontribusi terhadap 88% kematian anak akibat diare di seluruh dunia. Bagi anak-anak yang bertahan hidup, seringnya menderita diare berkontribusi terhadap masalah gizi, sehingga menghalangi anak-anak untuk dapat mencapai potensi maksimal mereka. Menurut hasil Riset Kesehatan Dasar (Riskesdas) tahun 2013, insiden dan prevalensi diare untuk seluruh kelompok umur di Indonesia adalah 3,5% dan 7,0%. Kejadian diare sangat erat kaitannya dengan kualitas sanitasi dan air tanah yang digunakan masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kualitas air yang digunakan untuk sanitasi serta air tanah khususnya di Kelurahan Pedurenan, Kecamatan Mustikajaya, Bekasi Timur. Hasil menunjukkah bahwa pemeriksaan kualitas air tanah menggunakan metode Most Probable Number (MPN) di RW 02 Kelurahan Pedurenan dan Kecamatan Mustikajaya, terdapat 4 sampel yang negatif coliform, dan 25 sampel positif coliform, dengan jumLah tertinggi 1100 sel/100 mL. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa air tanah untuk sanitasi dan air tanah di lokasi pengambilan sampel umumnya tercemar oleh bakteri coliform.Kata Kunci: Air tanah, coliform, diarrhea, Kualitas Air, MPN
<p><em>One part of Tridharma tertiary institutions in Indonesia that connect the world of education and society is Community Service. This Community Service, higher education requires a very active role in the application of the field of science and skills to provide knowledge to the public. This Community Service provide education about Covid-19 and how to prevent itu by online system (Zoom Application) to the congregation of HKBP Setia Mekar Church, Aren Jaya Village, East Bekasi District, West Java Province. Pandemic of Covid-19 that occurred in Indonesia has caused a decline the level of community health. This condition caused by low of education and public awareness regarding health protocols and vaccination. Based on that problem, Activity of Community Service were carried out at HKBP Church, Setia Mekar to provide a complete understanding about Covid-19 and improving awareness of HKBP Setia Mekar member on the importance of implementing health protocols and a vaccination to prevent Covid-19 transmission. The results of this Community Service obtained data through a questionnaire that there was an increase in the knowledge of the HKBP Setia Mekar member regarding the topic of this Community Service about 13,8%.</em></p><p><em><br /></em></p><p><em><strong>BAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRACT: </strong></em>Salah satu bagian dari Tridharma perguruan tinggi di Indonesia yang menghubungkan dunia pendidikan dan masyarakat adalah Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM). Kegiatan PkM perguruan tinggi dituntut berperan aktif dalam menerapkan ilmu pengetahuan dan keterampilan untuk memberikan pengetahuan kepada masyarakat. Kegiatan PkM kali ini adalah melakukan edukasi tentang Covid-19 dan pencegahannya secara daring (Aplikasi Zoom) kepada jemaat Gereja HKBP Setia Mekar, Kelurahan Aren Jaya, Kecamatan Bekasi Timur, Provinsi Jawa Barat. Kondisi pandemik Covid-19 yang terjadi di Indonesia telah menyebabkan penurunan tingkat kesehatan di masyarakat. Kondisi tersebut diduga disebabkan karena kurangnya edukasi dan kesadaran masyarakat terkait protokol kesehatan dan vaksinasi. Dari permasalah tersebut, kemudian dilakukan kegiatan PkM di Gereja HKBP Setia Mekar untuk memberikan pemahaman yang utuh tentang Covid-19 serta meningkatkan kesadaran jemaat HKBP Setia Mekar tantang pentingnya penerapan protokol kesehatan dan vaksinasi untuk mencegah penularan Covid-19. Hasil kegiatan PkM diperoleh data melalui kuesioner bahwa terdapat pengingkatan pengetahuan jemaat HKBP Setia Mekar mengenai topik PkM sebesar 13,8%.</p>
<p>Community Service (CS) is one part of Tridarma of higher education in Indonesia that correlates the world of education to the community. CS activities aim to actualize knowledge and skills possessed by universities to the community in the hope that it will solve various problems in the community and improve the welfare of the community. The Covid-19 pandemic is a health problem that is currently being faced by the Indonesian people, especially in crowded areas such as the school environment. The real impact of the Covid-19 pandemic is a decline in health levels that causes death in the community. One of these conditions is suspected to be due to a lack of education to the public about preventing the transmission of Covid-19. Based on these problems, CS activities were carried out in the form of online counseling on preventing the transmission of Covid-19 to teachers and parents at Bintang Kecil Kindergarten, Bekasi Regency. CS data was obtained by using a Pre-Experimental Design (One Group Pre-Test Post-Test) approach using a quiz instrument (goggle form). The result of pre-test and posttest showed an increase in the knowledge of teachers and parents in the Kindergarten of Bintang Kecil, Bekasi Regency by 13,1%. </p><p><strong>BAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRACT: </strong>Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) merupakan salah satu bagian dari Tridharma perguruan tinggi di Indonesia yang mengkorelasikan antara dunia pendidikan dengan masyarakat. Kegiatan PkM bertujuan untuk mengaktualisasikan ilmu pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang dimiliki perguruan tinggi kepada masyarakat dengan harapan akan menyelesaikan berbagai permasalahan di masyarakat serta meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Pandemik Covid-19 merupakan permasalahan kesehatan yang saat ini sedang dihadapi oleh masyarakat Indonesia, terutama pada area yang padat seperti lingkungan sekolah. Dampak nyata dari pandemik Covid-19 adalah terjadinya penurunan tingkat kesehatan hingga menyebabkan kematian di masyarakat. Kondisi demikian salah satunya diduga karena kurangnya edukasi kepada masyarakat mengenai pencegahan penularan Covid-19. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, sehingga dilakukan kegiatan PkM dalam bentuk penyuluhan secara daring mengenai pencegahan penularan Covid-19 kepada guru serta orang tua murid di PAUD-TK Bintang Kecil, Kabupaten Bekasi. Data kegiatan PkM diperoleh dengan pendekatan <em>Pre-Experimental Design (One Group Pre-Test Post-Tes) </em>menggunakan instrument kuis <em>(google form) </em>berisi 10 pertanyaan. Hasil <em>pre-test </em>dan <em>post-test</em> menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan guru dan orang tua murid di PAUD-TK Bintang Kecil, Kabupaten Bekasi sebesar 13,1%.</p><p> </p>
