Fire is made up of three elements, such as heat, combustible materials and oxygen. Fire has heat and light. Fire is used in various activities in human life from cooking, lighting marriage and burning dead bodies. Fire is available in space, on earth, and in oneself. Symbolically the fi re is employed as a symbol of spirit, a sanctifi cation, a destruction, enlightenment, heating temperatures, fi re of romance, and fi re of revenge. Overheated is possible when someone ignores norms, ethics, and rules.Library studies, interviews, observations, and experiments are methods used in this article. Fire, both as symbol and text, functioned according to the capacity or its role, both in and outside themselves. The use of it must be controlled for the harmony of the macrocosms and microcosms, when is the right time is to use small, medium, and large fi re, because all of them is important. ABSTRAKApi terbentuk dari tiga elemen, yakni panas, bahan mudah terbakar dan oksigen. Api memiliki panas dan cahaya. Api digunakan dalam kehidupan manusia dari memasak, penerangan, perkawinan sampai pembakaran jenazah. Api terletak di angkasa, di bumi, dan dalam diri. Api dijadikan simbol semangat, penyucian, peleburan, pencerahan, api asmara, api dendam. Panas (over heated) berlebih terjadi ketika seseorang tidak lagi mengindahkan norma, etika, aturan.Studi kepustakaan, wawancara, observasi, dan eksperimen merupakan metode yang digunakan dalam tulisan ini. Api, baik sebagai simbol maupun teks, difungsikan sesuai kapasitas/perannya masing-masing, baik dalam diri maupun di luar diri. Penggunaannya hatus dikendalikan agar keharmonisan bhuana alit dan bhuana agung dapat terwujud, kapan menggunakan api kecil, sedang maupun besar, karena semuanya penting. Masyarakat Hindu di Bali, yang memandang api sebagai benda biasa (sekala) dan agni sebagai perwujudan kekuatan suci (niskala), menggunakan api dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan spiritual, sosial, dan kultural. Semuanya ini menunjukkan betapa vitalnya budaya api dalam tradisi Bali. Pengalaman dan penjelajahan terhadap budaya api di kalangan masyarakat Bali menunjukkan betapa sentralnya api dalam kehidupan masyarakat Pulau Dewata. Dalam kehidupan spiritual, api digunakan pada pelaksanaan dari kelima bagian upacara Panca Yadnya masyarakat Hindu di Bali, yakni Dewa yadnya, Pitra yadnya, Manusa yadnya, Rsi yadnya, dan Bhuta yadnya. Hampir tidak ada upacara yadnya yang dilaksanakan umat Hindu di Bali tanpa melibatkan api, di antaranya dalam bentuk dupa, pasepan, dan api linting. Dalam kehidupan sosial sehari-hari, api juga menjadi kebutuhan masyarakat. Selain untuk memasak dan menghangatkan badan (di kala musim dingin), api juga masih sering digunakan untuk membersihkan lahan-lahan pertanian di sawah. The proliferation of contemporary cafes in the Surakarta area and its surroundings has added to the increasing wheel of the economy. It is recognized that during the Covid 19 pandemic these efforts were somewhat dimmed, but after or after the Covid 19 pandemic, these efforts continued to increase. Contemporary cafe businesses, especially those that open coffee shops, mostly require something artistic, it can be in the form of decoration, appearance in arranging the room to other things. Decorations or cool language, aesthetic elements are needed to make these cafes more attractive to visitors, especially young people. Young people or children today need places to gather or hang out as well as places for selvi or making stories. Seeing this very promising business opportunity makes the author quite intrigued by this problem. Business opportunities, especially those engaged in making aesthetic elements on the walls of contemporary cafes. Based on the experience gained by the author as a graphic artist, it encourages the author to find suitable partners to be trained in the creation of graphic art works in the form of aesthetic elements, especially those using high and mini-sized printing techniques. The author finally chose the Makmur Graphic Community. This community is a community engaged in graphic studios, exhibition venues and also a place for graphic art work. The purpose of this PKM is to train and assist the Makmoer Graphic Community so that they can produce high-tech graphic art products in a mini format, as an aesthetic element in contemporary cafes in the Surakarta area and its surroundings. The choice of the Makmur Graphic Community as a partner is because this community is inhabited by very young members, besides that this community is already very present in the graphic arts arena, especially in the Surakarta area and its surroundings. Many events have been held both online and offline, it's just that this community has shortcomings, especially in the products produced. For the methodology, Asset Based Community Development (ABCD). The impact is clear that the Makmur Graphic Community is now not only able to produce works of graphic art as a medium of expression, but can also produce decorative works or aesthetic elements. The second clearly produces a significant impact in the economy because the demand for these crafts from time to time has increased. And this is very supportive of the theme of this national seminar, namely the role of universities in community empowerment in supporting progress after the Covid 19 pandemic.
The creation of this graphic work considers the reciprocal relationship between art and the environment as well as its preservation with an Eco Art perspective. The creation of this Eco-Graphic work uses the Artistic Creation approach which includes experimentation, reflection, and formation (art structure). This Eco Graphic work is inspired by the stimulation of creating water, fire, wind and soil in Javanese philosophy which is then processed in such a way that it becomes a graphic art work in an eco art perspective. Through inner research or inner wandering, the creator is able to visualize the work of Eco Graphic after discovering triangles, circles and lines as the main motive with the abstract expressionism model.
An artistic workmanship is a creative process of the artist in creating artwork. The artwork created is entitled "Be Yourself," which is related to the establishment of self-characters of the writer who grew up in Sundanese culture. However, the life journey has brought the writer to be urang sumando (people related by marriage) in Minangkabau. Being in these two diff erent cultural positions, Sunda and Minang, the writer have cross-cultural experiences. Having these cultural diff erences do not automatically make the writer soluble in integration in two diff erent conceptions of cultures. In this paper, the writer off ers the concepts of these cross-cultural experiences that are able to off er something diff erent which can contribute to the development of art creation. The discussion in this article is the artistic forms as media for the exploration, materials for creation, and forms of performance.
Estetika adalah sebagai “roh†dalam karya musik atau karawitan artinya sasaran atau obyek akhir dari sajian musik yang penilaiannya sangat subyektif dan tingkat atau kadar penilaiannya tergantung dari kemampuan maupun kepekaan penghayat. Demikian kadar atau kualitas estetika yang dihasilkan dari suatu karya karawitan tergantung dari kemampuan kesenimanan para seniman penyusun atau pencipta. Estetika dibentuk oleh berbagai faktor antara lain kemampuan individu dan karakter para seniman penciptanya termasuk lingkungan atau konteksnya. Barungan gamelan Bali jumlahnya sekitar 34 jenis barungan yang masing-masing mempunyai tungguhan, repertoar, fungsi, dan seniman pendukung serta estetika yang berbeda-beda. Ada dua sumber estetika, yaitu teks dan konteks. Teks adalah unsur-unsur yang mewujudkan karya, yaitutungguhan: bahan, jumlah, bentuk, pelarasan,  tabuhan, interpretasi,  rasa (rase), dan gaya. Konteks adalah unsur-unsur yang berada di luar teks,yaitupotensi kesenian, ungkapan seniman, nilai kehidupan masyarakat pendukungnya. Pada artikel ini pembahasan estetika memfokuskan pada teks yang dikaji dari aspek repertoar, tungguhan, dan teknik tabuhan.Kata Kunci: estetika, teks, konteks
