Traditional society still perceives that physical education is ineffective in shaping children’s character and that physical education is still considered as only a playing activity without having significant effects to the development of children’s social skill. This research aims to help children shape their social skills through the traditional games provided by physical education teachers with their comprehensive playing activities. The method used in this research was a qualitative approach, by doing some observations and unstructured interviews to teachers and students. The format of the game used in this research was the modification of traditional games called ‘Gobak Sodor’ which is adapted to the multilateral development of children and the theory of sports education. The result of observation and interview shows that the modified traditional games ‘Gobak Sodor’ can help children to shape their social skills, such as personal and social responsibility, teamwork, communication and the care of each other in the game. It can be concluded that the social skills of children can not be created instantly. It requires time and continuous learning process. One of the approaches which can be used in forming children’s social skills is modified traditional sport games ‘Gobak Sodor’.
Penelitian bertujuan mengetahui: (1) Peningkatan power melalui metode latihan agility hurdle drills dan agility ring drills, (2) Perbedaan pengaruh metode latihan terhadap power tungkai, (3) Perbedaan pengaruh power tungkai antara yang memiliki koordinasi tinggi dan rendah, dan (4) Pengaruh interaksi antara metode latihan dan koordinasi terhadap power tungkai. Penelitian ini merupakan eksperimen. Populasi penelitian adalah atlet klub Bola Voli Spirit dan Pervas berjumlah 44 atlet. Sampel penelitian 24 atlet ditentukan dengan teknik sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan tes yang dilakukan sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan. Instrumen penelitian adalah Sargen Jump Test dan Hexagonal Obstacle Test. Teknik analisis data menggunakan ANAVA. Hasil penelitian adalah: (1) Tidak terdapat perbedaan peningkatan power tungkai yang signifikan melalui metode latihan agility hurdle drills dan agility ring drills. (2) Tidak terdapat perbedaan pengaruh antara metode latihan ter-hadap power tungkai. (3) Terdapat perbedaan peningkatan power tungkai antara yang memiliki koordinasi tinggi dan koordinasi rendah. (4) Tidak terdapat interaksi antara metode latihan dan koordinasi terhadap peningkatan power tungkai. THE EFFECT OF TRAINING MODELS AND COORDINATION ON THE LEG POWER OF JUNIOR FEMALE VOLLEYBALL ATHLETESAbstractThis study aimed to determine: (1) increase leg power through of agility hurdle drills and agility ring drills training models, (2) the differences in the effect of training models on the leg power, (3) differences in the effect of leg power between those having a high and low coordination, and (4) the effect interaction between training methods and coordination on the leg power.This study is an experimental study. The population in this study was the athletes of Volleyball Club Spirit and Pervas, totaling 44 athletes. A sample of 24 athletes was establised using the purposive sampling. The data were collected using tests and the measurements performed before and after treatment. The instru-ments used in this study was the Sargen Jump Test and Hexagonal Obstacle Test. The data were analyzed using the ANOVA. The results are: (1) There is no difference in effect between training methods of hurdle agility drills and agility ring drills on improved the leg power, (2) There is no difference in effect between training methods on the leg power, (3) There are differences in the leg power improvement between those having high and low coordination. The study aims at generating a product in the form of Volleyball learning materials CD with the valid and effective TGFU method for the junior high school students. The learning media has been developed by using the Adobe Flash CS 6 Professional. Then, within the conduct of the study, the Research and Development (R&D) Model proposed by Borg & Gall had been adopted with several modifications. Then, the results of the study show that the learning media belongs to the “Very Good” category according to the material expert validation with the mean score 4.38 and that the learning media belongs to the “Very Good” category according to the media expert validation with the mean score 4.23. Furthermore, the results of the limited experiment show that the learning media belongs to the “Very Good” category with the mean score 4.76. Similarly, the results of the expanded experiment show that the learning media belongs to the “Very Good” category with the mean score 4.75. In order to identify the quality and the effectiveness of the product, an operational test should be performed. The results of the operational test show that the pre-test mean score is 41.65 while the post-test mean score is 89.25. The mean score of the students has improved with the gap 47.60 points. Therefore, departing from the overall results, the TGFU method-based learning media has been valid and effective for implementation in the learning activities of Sports and Health Education for the Junior High School degree.
AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan media audio visual dalam pembelajaran keterampilan motorik kasar pada anak tunagrahita ringan yang layak digunakan. Penelitian pengembangan ini dilakukan dengan langkah-langkah sebagai berikut: (1) pengumpulan informasi, (2) analisis hasil informasi, (3) mengembangkan produk awal, (4) validasi ahli dan revisi, (5) uji coba skala kecil, (6) revisi, (7) uji coba skala besar, (8) revisi akhir, (9) pembuatan produk final, dan (10) diseminasi dan implementasi produk final. Uji coba kelompok kecil dilakukan terhadap enam peserta didik anak tunagrahita ringan di SLB Tunas Kasih 2 Turi. Uji coba kelompok besar dilakukan terhadap sepuluh peserta didik anak tunagrahita ringan di SLB Negeri I Bantul. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu: (1) angket para pakar, dan (2) lembar kuesioner praktisi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis deskriptif kuantitatif dan deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian ini menghasilkan media untuk pembelajaran keterampilan motorik kasar pada anak tunagrahita ringan yaitu media pembelajaran keterampilan motorik kasar dengan (1) melompati bentuk, (2) bola panas bola dingin, (3) bola guling kain, (4) bola ringan, (5) menginjak ekor harimau, (6) bola kangguru, dan (7) senam gerak dan lagu. This research is quantitative research which aims to know the quality of instrument proved by the validity of construct. The empirical validity of research instrument is tested to senior high school students both public and private school in Special Region of Yogyakarta which hold the basketball competition among senior high school. The result of tested then is analyzed by using exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). The EFA analysis uses software support of SPSS 23.0 and CFA analysis uses software LISREL 8.8. The result of analysis by EFA shows that the grouping data into two big groups such as skill execution and decision making. The result analysis of EFA also shows that the value of KMO is about 0.747 > 0.50. The value of Bartlett's test and Chi-square is about 318.020 and the significance is on 0.000, therefore the analysis tested factor can be continued. The result of assessment calculation of basketball skill by using first order CFA shows that the value of p-value=0.16220 (>0.05), RMSEA = 0.042 (>0.08) and chi-square =11.76 > 0.05 which means that the model is appropriate with the data, the analysis of model structural equation, and decision making effect the ability of playing basketball. The amount of contribution of decision making toward the ability of playing basketball is about 26 percent, while the contribution is about 74 percent influenced by another variable.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pembelajaran bolabasket melalui metode pendekatan taktik pada siswa kelas VIIIC SMP Negeri 2 Pandak Bantul. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang terdiri dari dua siklus. Objek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIIIC SMP Negeri 2 Pandak, Bantul berjumlah 36 siswa. Data dikumpulkan melalui: (1) observasi hasil belajar bolabasket dengan model pendekatan taktik, (2) observasi kelas terhadap guru, (3) observasi terhadap situasi kelas, (4) observasi terhadap perilaku siswa, dan (5) tes pengetahuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran bolabasket dilakukan melalui metode pendekatan taktik pada siswa kelas VIIIC SMP Negeri 2 Pandak, Bantul ada peningkatan. Pembelajaran bolabasket dengan pendekatan taktik siswa kelas VIIIC selama 2 siklus meningkatkan keterampilan proses dalam bermain bolabasket dengan pendekatan taktik. Berdasarkan penilaian pada akhir siklus I, rata-rata nilai siswa 72,8. Pada akhir siklus II rata-rata nilai siswa meningkat menjadi 78,0, sehingga telah melampaui KKM 71. Sedangkan jumlah siswa yang tuntas saat siklus I sebanyak 17 orang (47%) ke siklus II menjadi 33 orang (96%) maka telah melampaui ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 75%. Ketuntasan klasikal dari sisi pengetahuan dapat dinyatakan sebagai berikut: hasil pretest: 16,67%, siklus I: 91,67%, dan siklus II: 100%. Rekapitulasi hasil lembar observasi perilaku siswa dalam pembelajaran pada siklus I sebesar 2,8 meningkat menjadi 3,8 pada siklus II, lembar observasi guru pada siklus I sebesar 2,9 meningkat menjadi 3,7 pada siklus II dan situasi kelas pada siklus I sebesar 2,7 meningkat menjadi 3,7 pada siklus II. ATTEMPTS TO IMPROVE BASKETBALL LEARNING THROUGH THE TACTICS APPROACH METHOD STUDENTS OF SMPN 2 PANDAK, BANTULAbstract This study aims to improve basketball learning through the tactics approach method among Grade VIIIC students of SMP Negeri 2 Pandak Bantul. This was a classroom action research (CAR) study consisting two cycles. The research subjects were 36 Grade VIIIC students of SMP Negeri 2 Pandak, Bantul. The data were collected through: (1) observations on the basketball learning out-comes using the tactics approach method, (2) classroom observations on the teacher, (3) observations on classroom situations, (4) observations on students’ behaviors, and (5) a cognitive test. The results of the study revealed that there was an improvement in basketball learning through the tactics approach method among Grade VIIIC students of SMP Negeri 2 Pandak, Bantul. Basketball learning through the tactics approach method among Grade VIIIC in 2 cycles improved the process skills in playing basketball game with the tactics approach. Based on the assessment at the end of Cycle I, the students’ average score was 72.8. At the end of Cycle II, their average score improved to 78.0, so it was above the Minimum Mastery Criterion (MMC), i.e. 71. Meanwhile, the number of students who attained MMC in Cycle I was 17 (47%), and in Cycle II it became 33 (96%); this was above the class mastery, i.e. 75%. The class mastery from the cognitive aspect could be explained as follows: from the pretest results, the mastery was 16.67%, in Cycle I it was 91.67%, and in Cycle II it was 100%. The recapitulation from the observations on the students’ learning behaviors in Cycle I was 2.8, improving to 3.8 in Cycle II; that from the observations of teachers in Cycle I was 2.9, improving to 3.7 in Cycle II; and the class situation in Cycle I was 2.7, improving to 3.7 in Cycle II. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) perbedaan pengaruh model latihan guided discovery style dan model latihan command style terhadap keterampilan bola basket siswi, (2) perbeda-an pengaruh siswi yang memiliki koordinasi tinggi dan koordinasi rendah terhadap keterampilan bola basket, dan (3) interaksi antara model latihan dengan koordinasi terhadap keterampilan bola basket siswi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswi ekstrakurikuler bola basket yang berjumlah 43 orang. Sampel berjumlah 24 siswi ditentukan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Intrumen tes yang digunakan adalah tes Wall Bounce Pass untuk mengukur koordinasi mata-tangan dan tes Sekolah Tinggi Olahraga (STO) untuk mengukur keterampilan bola basket siswi. Teknik analisis data yang menggunakan ANAVA. Hasil penelitian adalah sebagai berikut: (1) Tidak terdapat perbedaan pengaruh antara model latihan guided discovery style dan model latihan command style terhadap keterampilan bola basket siswi. (2) Terdapat perbedaan pengaruh siswi yang memiliki koordinasi tinggi dan rendah terhadap keterampilan bola basket. (3) Tidak terdapat interaksi yang signifikan antara model latihan dan koordinasi terhadap keterampilan bola basket siswi. The population comprised 43 basketball extracurricular students. A sample of 24 students was established using the purposive sampling technique. The instruments of this research were wall bounce pass test to measure eye-hand coordination and Sekolah Tinggi Olahraga (STO) test to measure the basketball skills. The data were analyzed using the two-way ANAVA analysis.The results of the study are as follows. (1) There is no different effect between guided discovery style model training and command style model training on the basketball skills of the students. (3) There is an effect difference on the basketball skills of the students who have high and low coordination. (4) There is no a significant interaction between model training and coordination on the basketball skills of students. Pembelajaran pendidikan jasmani dalam model TPSR lebih menekankan pada kondisi siswa dan pendekatannya juga berorientasi kepada aktualisasi diri dan rekonstruksi sosial siswa di dalam pembelajaran permainan bola basket. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan karakter tanggung jawab, kerja sama, dan percaya diri siswa putri kelas XI IPS 2 SMA Muhammadiyah 3 Yogyakarta dengan model TPSR dalam pembelajaran permainan bola basket. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Subjek dalam penelitian adalah seluruh siswa putri kelas XI IPS 2 SMA Muhammadiyah 3 yang berjumlah sembilan siswa. Analisis data menggunakan analisis diskriptif, kualitatif, dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran TPSR dapat meningkatkan karakter tanggung jawab dan kerja sama dalam pembel-ajaran permainan bola basket yang berdampak pada kepercayaan diri siswa putri kelas XI IPS 2 SMA Muhammadiyah 3 Yogyakarta yang dapat dilihat dari peningkatan nilai keterampilan psikomotor, kognitif, dan afektif siswa.
