Important efforts have been made to develop strategies for the production of large amounts of graphene. High quality single or few layers graphene can be successfully prepared by chemical vapor deposition (CVD), but only in rather small quantities. [5] Alternatively, graphene oxide can be prepared using chemical exfoliation starting from natural graphite. [6][7][8] In order to avoid hazardous chemical approaches, electrochemical exfoliation has also been proposed as another practical route.
