Examination in focal illumination by monocular ophthalmique loupe is well proved routine method (Helmholtz, Graefe) by which the anterior segment of the eye except the chamber angle, can be examined. The chamber angle, however. cannot be viewed by this method owing to the total internla1 reflexion based on the corneal curvature. Neutralisation or correction of the corneal curvature by means of contact prism does not come into regard for this method of examination. To our experience the anterior chamber angle can be efficaciously viewed with the monocular ophthalmique loupe if the saline solution is employed for the neutralisation of corneal curvature.In the previous paper under the title "Experience with saline solution on the examination of chamber angle without contact glass" (Acta Ophthalm. Vol. 45 [673][674][675][676] 1967.) the technique of examination of chamber angle by melans of saline solution, without contact prism, and detached head of Zeiss microscop held by the observer, has been considered. The investigation has been continued in order to find out more suitable technique permitting the use not only of microscope but also of ophthalmique loupe. The purpose of this paper is to put forward the technique of examination of chamber angle by means of saline solution and employment of the monocular ophthalmique loupe 10 x, 12 x and 15 x as well as Czapsky-Zeiss corneal microscope under magnification 16 x and 23 x.The simple technical equipment for the examination of anterior chamber angle by means of saline solution, without contact prism, is presented in the Fig. 1 -3 .
