Lithium iron oxide (LiFeO 2 ) thin films have been prepared by electron beam evaporation technique. The XRD spectrum exhibited different characteristic peaks along with (200) predominant orientation corresponding to cubic rock-salt structure. The grain size of film is about 240 nm. The cyclic voltammogram of prepared powder as well as thin films exhibited a complete reversibility with perfect redox couples. The discharge capacity of LiFeO 2 thin film is 35 Ah/cm 2 .m. The results are compared with bulk synthesized powder data.
