Camelina sativa L is a cruciferous oilseed plant. This plant is cultivated as an oilseed crop mainly in Europe and in North America and over the past years the cultivation has arranged in our country. The analyzed oil is obtained from the seeds of Camelina sativa L, growing in Bornuur, Tuv province. The goal of this study was to determine the physical and chemical characteristics and fatty acids composition of Camelina sativa L seed oil cultivated in Mongolia. According to our analysis total lipid was determined 38.52 %, moisture 4.80 % and total mineral elements 4.02 %, respectively. Mineral elements in Camelina sativa L seeds contain calcium (0.56 %), phosphorous (1.22 %), potassium (1.39 %), magnesium (0.53 %) in dominated amounts; iron, zinc, manganese and copper in trace amounts. Eight nonessential amino acids in seeds of this plant with total amount of 75.9 % were identified; phenylalanine was detected in highest amount among the all identified amino acids, while lysine, tryptophan and arginine are followed. The following characteristics in Camelina sativa seeds oil were determined. The refractive index was 1.4774 at 20°C, the peroxide value of fresh oil was 0.03 meq H2O2 /kg, saponification value 185.8 mg KOH/g, iodine value 143.33 g J2 and acidic value 6.27 mg KOH /g. Carotenoid was determined as 16.77 mg %, by spectrometry in Camelina sativa seeds oil. The analysis of fatty acids composition showed that there are 12.5 % saturated and 87.5 % unsaturated fatty acids. In particular, oleic acid (C18:1) 14.0 %, linoleic acid (C18:2) 9.0 %, α-linolenic acid (C18:3) 10.5 % and gondoic acid (C20:1) 32.8 %, were composed the major part of unsaturated fatty acids. Two species of Agaricus mushroom grown in Mongolia were analyzed for their element content. Biological activity and chemical components study of Agaricus, grown in the Mongolian flora has been investigated for the first time. The ethanol extracts of dried Agaricus sp. mushrooms were analyzed for antioxidant activity on 1,1-diphenyl-2- picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) radicals and interferon-like activity. The ethanol extracts from Agaricus arvensis showed the most potent radical scavenging activity. The IC50 of A. silvaticus and A. arvensis were 216 and 17.75 g/ml respectively. Among the twenty three mushroom extracts, the extracts from A. silvatisus and A. arvensis have shown the interferon-like activity. Extract of Agaricus silvaticus Schaeff ex. Secr fungus have been known to have biological activities, including antibacterial, antiviral, anticancer, antioxidant, anticomplementary and immunostimulating effects. In this study we first time identified that Agaricus silvaticus Schaeff ex. Secr has interferon like activity. We first time isolated the four known compounds such as, mannitol (1), urea (2), ergosterol (3) and ergosterol peroxide (4) from 95% ethanol extracts of Agaricus silvaticus Schaeff ex. Secr in Mongolia. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of extensive analysis of spectral data and by comparison with authentic samples.
The content and composition of lipids isolated from seed and pulp of sea buckthorn were investigated. Fatty acids and sterols were analyzed by CGC while tocopherols were analyzed by HPLC. 12.67% glyceride was found in the seed. The oil of sea buckthorn seed oil showed low levels of saturated fatty acids in comparison with the buckthorn pulp oil. Palmitic (7.13%), oleic (15.85%), linoleic (36.9%) and linolenic acids (31.11%) predominated in the seed oil. Palmitic (29.17%), palmitoleic (32.86%), oleic (4.92%), vaccenic (9.35%) and linoleic (16.08%) fatty acid was dominating in the pulp oil. The primary tocopherol of sea buckthorn seed and pulp oil were α- tocopherol and γ-tocopherol (46.54mg/100g, 59.02mg/100g). ABSTRACT:The objective of this study was to determine the meat quality and fish oil's physical and chemical characteristics of the Mongolian fishes: Syrok (Coregonus peled), and Lenok (Brachymystax lenok). Lipid content was 3.1 to 14.15%, moisture was 72.14 to 80.5%, protein content was 8.54 to 9.8% and total mineral element was 0.5 to 3.1%. The caloric value Lenok (Brachymystax lenok) was 68.7 and Syrok (Coregonus peled) -142.8 Kj/100g, respectively. Minerals included potassium (46.32 to 52.22%), phosphorous (39.06 to 41.3%), calcium (3.26 to 5.87%), magnesium (2.08 to 3.97%) and silicon (1.14 to 2.24%), while zinc, iron and copper were present intrace amounts. Eight non essential amino acids with total amount of 58.61 to 59.64% were identified, and histidine detected as in highest value in all the species, followed by arginine. The data showed that the Mongolian fishes are of high nutritional value and good source of proteins, minerals as well as non essential amino acids. The physical and chemical characteristics of Syrok (Coregonus peled), and Lenok (Brachymystax lenok) fish oil were analyzed. These parameters are: iodine value (IV), peroxide value (PV), acid value (AV), saponification value (SV), percentage of free fatty acid (%FFA), refractive index (RI) and colour. The extracted lipid content obtained from muscles of Syrok and Lenok was about 14.15% and 3.1%. The percentages of unsaturated fatty acids were higher than saturated fatty acids accounting for 74.37% and 25.6%, 83.83% and 16.46% respectively.
