One of us (A.J.K.) has found the position operator for the Lorentz-invariant localization of scalar mesons, electrons, neutrinos, and photons. It was found uniquely except for an unknown constant for the electrons. With a set of postulates we find uniquely the spin angularmomentum tensor for the electrons and the value of that constant. We also find some general common properties for all the particles considered.
We obtain, from the exact microscopic, reversible, dynamics of an oscillator coupled to a heat bath, a classical, Markov stochastic process, for the energy of the oscillator. Also, the corresponding macroscopic phenomenological equation, describing an irreversible approach to equilibrium, is obtained.
To understand the origin of the difficulties in the determination of the physical wavefunction for an attractive inverse square potential, we study a model in which the singularity at the origin is substituted by a repulsive core. The structure of the spectrum of energy levels is discussed in some detail. by guest on February 19, 2015
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
