Em uma sociedade estruturada onde crianças e adolescentes estão em contato com a escola por um período similar ou maior do que com a própria família, torna-se pertinente aos educadores incorporarem a saúde em suas atividades. O fisioterapeuta é um profissional de saúde que pode trabalhar no ambiente escolar e possui competências e habilidades satisfatórias para atuar em todos os níveis de atenção à saúde. Sendo assim, o objetivo deste estudo foi identificar no acervo literário as contribuições da fisioterapia sobre a educação e prevenção em saúde no âmbito educacional. Para a elaboração desta revisão integrativa, foram realizadas buscas nas bases de dados - PUBMED, SCIELO, BVS e Google Acadêmico. Utilizando-se a combinação dos descritores Estudante, Escola, Fisioterapia, Prevenção e Educação em Saúde. Incluíram-se artigos publicados em periódicos na língua Inglesa e Portuguesa; com período de publicação entre 2010 a 2020. Foram coletados 492 estudos, contudo se enquadraram como amostra desta pesquisa 06 artigos. Os estudos analisados apresentaram a função do fisioterapeuta como relevante no contexto escolar, uma vez que, pode atuar em conjunto com a equipe escolar para educar em saúde e prevenir complicações futuras, realizando orientações sobre posicionamentos adequados, mobiliários, utilização correta da mochila, reduzir maus hábitos com a educação postural, entre outras atribuições. O presente estudo permitiu identificar que, apesar da escassez de material disponível sobre a atuação da fisioterapia nas escolas, dos estudos coletados foi unânime considerar a figura do fisioterapeuta relevante no âmbito educacional.
