Positron Emission Tomography (PET) is a significant advance in cancer imaging with great potential for optimizing radiation therapy (RT) treatment planning and thereby improving outcomes for patients. The use of PET and PET/CT in RT planning was
PET/CT gave reliable results with an accuracy >95% in 75% of prostheses. PET/CT can identify those prostheses (25% of prosthesis) for which its diagnostic accuracy is diminished to 70-75%. In our series PET/CT was an excellent diagnostic modality for suspected VPI.
The implantation of a SG may be an alternative to open surgery in selected groups of patients with primary IAA. Aneurysms of the central part of the thoracic or abdominal aorta have a more favorable prognosis with endovascular treatment.
FDG-PET or PET/CT contributed to establishing a final diagnosis in 84% of the 51 patients with positive PET findings and in 36% of all 118 evaluated patients with prolonged fever.
FDG-PET/CT imaging is very helpful in the search for the presence of a malignancy in patients with carcinoma of unknown primary syndrome. FDG-PET/CT is less accurate in identifying exactly the site of a primary. Discovery of a hypermetabolic lesion was associated with the worst survival rate.
The burnout was assessed using Maslach Burnout Inventory, which addresses thre general scalesemotional exhaustion, depersonalization and reduced personal accomplishment. Results: The findings supported our hypothesis that this syndrome is highly prevalent among health care workers, espacially among anesthesiologists. Conclusions: The burnout syndrome is a frequent disorder among health care workers, especially among with high work demand, susc as general practitioners and anesthesiologists. Therefore, prevention strategies should be planned and carefully implemented.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
