Honeycomb plasmonic lattices are characterized by a 2-particle unit cell. The difference between the intrasublattice and intersublattice coupling is distinctive of non-Bravais lattices. Although the two particles are identical the two types of coupling may be different.
In this work a study of the fractional momentum loss (S loss ) as a function of the characteristic pathlength (L) and the Bjorken energy density times the equilibration time ( Bjτ0) for heavy-ion collisions at different √ sNN is presented. The study has been conducted using inclusive charged particles from intermediate to large transverse momentum (5 < pT < 20 GeV/c). Within uncertainties and for all the transverse momentum values which were explored, the fractional momentum loss is found to increase linearly with ( Bjτ0) 3/8 L. For identified hadrons, albeit a smaller slope of S loss vs. ( Bjτ0) 3/8 L is observed for (anti)protons at p T = 5 GeV/c, S loss is also found to grow linearly with L. The behaviour of data could provide important information aimed to understand the parton energy loss mechanism in heavy-ion collisions and some insight into the expected effect for small systems. Mathematical model of heat transfer to predict distribution of hardness through the Jominy bar AbstractThe heat transfer coefficient was estimated at the bottom surface at Jominy bar end quench specimen by solution of the heat inverse conduction problem. A mathematical model based on the finite-difference method was developed to predict thermal paths and volume fraction of transformed phases. The mathematical model was codified in the commercial package Microsoft Visual Basic v. 6. The calculated thermal path and final phase distribution were used to eval...
