RESUMO: Objetivo: conhecer o perfil das vítimas envolvidas em acidentes automobilísticos atendidas no pronto atendimento hospitalar de médio porte no meio oeste catarinense. Métodos: pesquisa seccional, descritiva com abordagem quantitativa, realizada no período de fevereiro a maio de 2008. Resultados: predominaram os atendimentos as vítimas de acidente com motocicleta, entre 21 a 30 anos e do sexo masculino. O domingo foi o dia com o maior número de casos, nos horários entre 16 às 20 horas. Houve prevalência de trauma de membros, sendo os traumatismos mais frequentes às escoriações, contusões e fraturas. As vítimas foram liberadas logo após os atendimentos em 66% da população. Conclusão: jovens adultos do sexo masculino e condutores de motocicleta são as vítimas mais comuns dos acidentes automobilísticos. As autoridades de trânsito devem estar conscientes do problema, é preciso tomar providências a fim de evitar que nossos jovens continuem morrendo por uma postura inadequada no trânsito. ABSTRACT: Objective: to know the profile of the victims involved in automobile accidents treated at hospital emergency care midrange in the middle west of Santa Catarina. Methods: a cross-sectional survey, descriptive quantitative approach, performed in the period from February to May 2008. Results: it predominated visits victims of motorcycle accident, between 21-30 years old and male. Sunday was the day with the highest number of cases, the hours between 16 to 20 hours. The prevalence of limb trauma, and trauma frequently to abrasions, bruises and fractures. The victims were released shortly after the sessions in 66% of the population. Conclusion: young adult males and motorcycle drivers are the most common victims of automobile accidents. Transit authorities should be aware of the problem, we must take steps to prevent our young people continue dying poor posture in traffic. This study aimed to evaluate pain intensity in chronic renal patients under hemodialysis during the arteriovenous fistula cannulation. It was a cross-sectional study conducted in a hemodialysis clinic in the second semester of 2014. 70 individuals participated in the research and were assessed by the visual analogue scale. The project was approved with opinion number 453.508-2013. During cannulation, the pain reported was moderate in 58.5% of patients, intense in 30% and mild in 11.5%. There was no association between the occurrence of pain in relation to gender, shift and time of hemodialysis. The study points out to the need for pre-cannulation analgesia to improve comfort during the procedure.
Objective: to identify the main biosafety measures for preventing COVID-19 in healthcare professionals. Methods: this is an integrative literature review, with studies published between January and July 2020, on the MEDLINE/PubMed, Scopus, Embase, Web of Science, LILACS, SciELo, Wiley Online Library, Cochrane CINAHL databases. The selection of studies followed the PRISMA recommendations. Results: among the 2,208 publications identified, 12 studies comprised the sample, which enabled the analysis in four thematic categories: The importance of using recommendations about the use of personal protective equipment; The restructuring of new operational and clinical routines and flows in the practice of services; Monitoring professionals, especially testing; Conducting training. Conclusions: the phenomena involved are innumerable, covering operational management and the training of teams to deal with highly infectious pathogens and disease outbreaks.
RESUMOO objetivo deste estudo foi conhecer as características clínicas e sociodemograficas dos pacientes em tratamento hemodialítico no oeste de Santa Catarina, através de consulta retrospectiva em prontuários, com uma amostra de 70 pacientes em tratamento de hemodiálise. A análise de dados ocorreu por meio de estatística descritiva. O projeto foi aprovado pelo comitê de ética da Universidade do Estado de Santa Catarina sob o número 248.116/2013. Os resultados indicam predomínio de indivíduos do sexo masculino, idade entre 40 e 59 anos, cor branca, aposentados, com baixa escolaridade. A principal intercorrência durante a diálise foi a hipotensão, a patologia causa da Doença Renal Crônica foi o diabetes mellitus. Acredita-se que campanhas de prevenção da hipertensão e diabetes seja uma alternativa para modificar esse perfil.Descritores: Insuficiência renal crônica; Hemodiálise; Doença crônica. ABSTRACTThe objective of this study was to get to know the clinical and sociodemographic characteristics of patients undergoing hemodialysis treatment in the west of Santa Catarina, through a retrospective consultation in medical records, with a sample of 70 patients undergoing hemodialysis. Data analysis was performed using descriptive statistics. The project was approved by the ethics committee of the State University of Santa Catarina under the number 248,116 / 2013. The results indicate a predominance of male individuals, aged between 40 and 59 years, white, retired, with low level of schooling. The main complication during dialysis was hypotension, the cause of Chronic Kidney Disease was diabetes mellitus. It is believed that campaigns to prevent hypertension and diabetes are an alternative to modify this profile.
