In the article, using the functional resonance analysis method, the process of traffic safety control of vehicles that carry out cargo delivery and transportation of passengers, when their technical condition changes during operation, is simulated. On the basis of statistical data, the reasons of the change of the technical condition of the chassis of the vehicles and their influence on its operational properties were analysed. Resilience Decision Support (Resilience DS) software is used to solve this problem. Such a tool made it possible to simulate the sociotechnical system "Person-Car-Organization of maintenance and repair system" and to form the formal models for constant evaluation of the effective functioning of the system of maintenance of vehicles and conditions of increasing their operation. To develop a maintenance model using a functional resonance analysis method, data was collected at a proprietary vehicle maintenance station. The model consists of a set of functions that determine the actions executed during maintenance of vehicles. The use of function-oriented technologies in a vehicle maintenance system allows simulation and maximizing overall operational parameters of vehicle due to local increase in technical capabilities and properties of individual elements, surfaces and/or zones of a part, depending on the functional features of operation.

In this paper, we consider the mobility and stability of a model of a tractor-lorry-trailer combination, consisting of a two-axle tractor and a single-axle semi-trailer, and its possible stationary states with fixed steering. A feature of this research is the study of a non-linear mathematical model of a two-link tractorlorry-trailer combination. The set of steady-state conditions for the movement of the tractor-lorry-trailer combination model is determined on the basis of the developed mathematical model; it provides the necessary mobility for the passage of the circular overall traffic lane. The range of stable steady-state conditions of the road train is limited and the character of the loss of stability in the direct motion of the road train (divergent, flutter) is checked. The phase portraits of the system are constructed at different speeds, which allow us to estimate the range of attraction for direct motion. Stability issues are also considered, namely, the influence of the control parameters (θ, v) on stability or instability.
To estimate the effect of the axial movement of piston rings in the piston grooves on the blow-by in the internal combustion engine (ICE) by an experiment-calculated method. This contributes to the development of practical recommendations for the further improvement of the engine ring seal designs. Abstract theorems were used when modelling the effect of the axial movement of piston rings in the piston grooves on the blow-by in an ICE. They are based on the fundamental theory of heat engines, thermodynamics and hydraulics. The ICE running was analysed using design-theoretical research methods. The effect of the axial movement of piston rings in the piston grooves on the blow-by in the ICE was established. This creates prerequisites for a more accurate assessment of their sealing capacity and for ways to further improve them. Calculated dependences
The main task of vocational schools in the system of penitentiary authorities and institutions is to ensure the right of citizens to vocational training following their inclinations, interests and abilities to improve their adaptation after release from prison. The paper aims to experimentally verify pedagogical conditions for developing professional competency in students from vocational schools of the State Penitentiary Service of Ukraine during their study of humanities and general professional disciplines. A total of 380 students from vocational education institutions of the State Penitentiary Service of Ukraine were divided into a control group (CG -180 respondents) and an experimental group (EG -200 respondents). It became necessary to introduce four pedagogical conditions (using the potential of a personalityoriented approach to boosting motivation towards learning; humanizing the relationships between teachers and students; reinforcing professional orientations of students by introducing innovative pedagogical technologies; improving personal and professionally important qualities based on the introduction of the specialized course, titled "Developing the Individuality of Convicts") to enhance the effectiveness of developing professional competency in convicts. Diagnostic methods, standardized tests, specially designed author's questionnaires and surveys, pedagogical consultative methods were employed to obtain reliable information. The number of EG respondents with a creative level has increased significantly, namely, from 18 (9.0%) to 53 (26.50%). In CG, however, these numbers are lower: from 14 (7.78%) to 18 (10.00%). The obtained results prove the effectiveness of the author's approach to developing professional competency based on the introduction of pedagogical conditions.
