The process of merging two or more library catalogues is considered in this paper. It's necessary to solve the problem of duplicate detection and merging into one database instead of simple union of different resources. The toolbox Cflib for duplicate detection and merging has been developed by us. It's based on standard principles of record linkage and has quite simple architecture.
A prototype for program platform for library services is examined. It is based on the microservice architecture and can be used as an individual service for various programs and apps, based on open protocol. The platform prototype is characterized in brief, along with different strategies for generating modern library services, i. e. OPAC, Distributed E-catalog, Awareness System and SEO. Platform prototype implementation does not depend on proprietary software.
The possibility of designing recommendation system for library e-catalog as a recommendation service is examined. Several options for recommendations were considered, i.e. collaborative filtering method and content-based recommendations. The findings were used for building the recommendation service based on two recommendation algorithms – document-based collaborative filtering and content-based recommendations. Anonymized data on fulfilled orders and library’s e-catalog data are used as input data for recommendation system.
