PurposeAdopting the brand resonance approach, this research aimed to reveal the effect of emotional (perceived quality) and rational (brand trust) factors between brand experience and brand loyalty.Design/methodology/approachThis article uses the brand resonance model to examine the above-mentioned relationship. The sample of the study consisted of 385 sports consumers between the ages of 18 and 65 years. An online survey was used to collect data and surveys were delivered to sports consumers via social media. Using SmartPLS 3.0 software, a partial least squares structural equation modeling analysis was conducted in this study.FindingsThe results support the hypotheses and demonstrate the importance of quality and trust in building customer loyalty for companies in the sports industry. Brand experience has a positive direct effect on perceived quality, brand trust and brand loyalty. It has been revealed that there is an important intermediary role of perceived quality and brand trust that manages the relationship between customers' brand experience and brand loyalty.Practical implicationsThe findings of this study are essential for brands that want to develop and are included in the sports industry in the online shopping environment, which increases with the development of technology to create long-term loyalty in customers.Originality/valueIt reveals two mediating roles in the relationship between brand experience and brand loyalty, namely perceived quality and brand trust. These research results help to understand the processes of shaping the loyalty of sports consumers towards sports brands. Unlike previous studies, it examines this relationship in the sports industry by adding new mediator variables and contributes to the development of the model.
ÖZETBu araştırmanın genel amacı Beden Eğitimi ve Spor Yüksekokulu (BESYO) öğrencilerinin liderlik davranışları ile ilgili görüşlerini saptamak ve araştırma sonuçlarına dayalı olarak önerilerde bulunmaktır. Araştırma tarama modelindedir. Ölçme aracı olarak beşli Likert tipi derecelendirilmiş anket kullanılmıştır. Ölçme aracı, 145 öğrenciye uygulanmıştır. Ölçme aracının yapı geçerliği için madde toplam korelasyon analizi ve faktör analizi yapılmıştır. Güvenirlik için alfa katsayısına bakılmıştır. Ölçeğin yapı geçerliği için madde-toplam korelasyon değerlerine bakılmıştır. BESYO öğrencilerinin yapıyı kurma ve anlayış gösterme boyutlarındaki liderlik davranışlarını çoğu zaman gerçekleştirdikleri saptanmıştır. Öğrencilerin anlayış gösterme boyutunda yer alan liderlik ile ilgili davranışlarının düzeyi, yapıyı kurma boyutuna göre daha yüksek bulunmuştur. THE LEADERSHIP BEHAVIOURS OF THE SCHOOL OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND SPORTS STUDENTS ABSTRACTThe general objective of this research is to identify the opinions of the leadership behaviours of the School of Physical Education and Sports (BESYO) students, and to make recommendations based on the outcomes of the research. The research is in the form of scanning. The measurement method is five Likert type scale-questionnaire. The measurement method has been applied to 145 students. Total item correlation analysis and factor analysis have been made for the structural validity of the measurement method. The alpha coefficient has been checked for reliability. It has been identified that the leadership behaviour by the BESYO students is actualised most of the time, in terms of building the structure and displaying comprehension. The level of the leadership related behaviours of the students in terms of displaying comprehension has been found higher in comparison to the aspect of building the structure.
The aim of this study is to determine the constraints of bicycle use in the cities and to propose solutions for the subject. The sample of the study was selected by using convenience sampling method. A total of 787 bicycle users (M=30.66, SD=11.18, including 172 women (M=29.08, SD=9.90) and 615 men (M=31.10, SD=11.49), who used bicycles in daily life in the city participated in the research voluntarily. The data were collected with the Bicycle Handicap Scale developed by Balcı et al. (2016). The scale consists of two parts that the personal information form and the participants' expressions about the factors preventing the use of bicycles. In the analysis of the data, t-test was used for the variables consisting of binary groups and one way ANOVA was used for the variables consisting of two groups. Araştırma tarama modelindedir. Araştırma evreni GSGM'de görev yapan 335 personelden oluşmaktadır. Veri toplama aracı gönüllü olarak katılan 111 kişidir. Cinsiyete ilişkin veriler, ilişkisiz t-Testi ile; kıdem, görev ve öğrenim durumuna ilişkin veriler ise tek yönlü varyans analizi ile test edilmiştir. Bu uygulama sonucunda anlamlı bulunan farklılığın kaynağını belirlemek için Scheffe ya da LSD Testi uygulanmıştır.Araştırmaya katılan personelin görevlerine ve cinsiyetlerine göre, işdoyumu, bağlılık, motivasyon ve kabullenme boyutlarında örgütsel sosyalleşme düzeyleri arasında anlamlı bir fark bulunmamıştır. THE ORGANISATIONAL SOCIALIZING LEVELS OF THE YOUTH AND SPORTS GENERAL DIRECTORATE PERSONNEL ABSTRACTThe objective of the study is to identify how the employees' of the Youth and Sports General Directorate perceive the organizational socialization of the institution they work for. The study is in the form of scanning. The study universe consists of 335 employees at the Youth and Sports General Directorate. The data collection mechanism has been applied to 111 volunteering participants in the study. The data regarding gender has been analyzed with non-relational t test. The data regarding seniority, position and education was tested with a single directional variance analysis. After this analysis, in order to determine the source of the difference found meaningful, Scheffe or LSD Test has been applied.A meaningful difference could not have been found as per the positions and the genders of the employees participating in the study, between the organization socialization levels within the dimensions of job satisfaction, loyalty, motivation and acceptance. While the organizational perceptions of the employees depending on their education and seniority levels were not different in terms of acceptance, motivation and loyalty; there was a meaningful difference in terms of job satisfaction.
The aim of this study is to determine the 6, 7 and 8 th grade primary school students' and their parents' attitudes towards participation in physical education courses. In this end, 717 students studying at schools in the Çankaya, Yenimahalle and Mamak Districts affiliated to Ankara Province Directorate of National Education and parents of these students, 640 in total, participated in the study voluntarily. The findings indicated that 6, 7 and 8 th grade students and their parents showed high positive attitudes towards physical education courses. However, it is concluded primary school students' positive attitudes towards physical education courses decrease as students move through upper grade levels. No significant gender difference was found in the attitudes held by female and male parents and overall it can be said that parents have positive attitudes towards physical education courses.
