Reliable flow quantification with MRI is feasible if the diameter of the lumen is greater than 1.5 mm, and if the flow velocity is lower than the velocity encoding. In cases of smaller diameters and higher flow velocities the velocity encoding has to be changed. Because of this the quantification seems to be inaccurate in cases of aqueductal stenosis with the method we used.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
