Tanah Datar merupakan salah satu kabupaten yang berada di Provinsi Sumatera Barat, secara geografis merupakan daerah pegunungan yang menjadi bagian dari gugus bukit barisan yang dikelilingi oleh daerah persawahan yang luas. Kabupaten Tanah Datar memiliki ketinggian yang sangat bervariasi mulai dari 200-1.500 mdpl. Sehingga akan mengakibatkan terjadinya pola adaptasi yang berbeda pada setiap wilayah tersebut. Hal ini tentu akan mengakibatkan tingginya keanekaragaman spesies salah satunya katak sawah Fejervarya canrivora. Berdasarkan landasan substansial tersebut maka dilakukan penelitian tentang bagaimanakah pengaruh topografi terhadap divergensi fenotip katak sawah (F. canrivora) di Kabupaten Tanah Datar. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh topografi terhadap divergensi fenotip katak sawah (F. canrivora) di Kabupaten Tanah Datar dan karakter fenotip apa saja yang memperlihatkan perbedaan. Sampel dikoleksi pada 4 lokasi yaitu Tabek Patah, Ampalu Gadang Sungai Tarab, Padang Ganting dan Singgalang Sepuluh Koto dan dilanjutkan di Laboratorium Alam Fakultas Kehutanan Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Barat. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa terdapat banyak perbedaan karakter morfometri antar populasi. Populasi F. canrivora Padang Ganting memiliki perbedaan signifikan dibandingkan dengan 3 populasi lainnya. Populasi F. canrivora Padang Ganting memiliki badan lebih besar, kaki belakang, femur dan tibia lebih pendek, jarak dari hidung sampai moncong lebih pendek dibandingkan populasi lain.Kata Kunci : Morfometri, sawah, ukuran tubuh, barrier, populasi
