BACKGROUND: Chronic kidney disease is closely related to diabetes. Basic information about the treatment and physical condition of diabetic patients should be analyzed to provide further evidence of prevention. Based on the high prevalence of diabetes mellitus (DM) among patients with renal failure, there is a great need to learn more about its prevention and management including laboratory diagnostic tests because HbA1c levels are directly proportional to blood glucose levels. AIM: The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of HbA1c levels on creatinine levels in patients with Type 2 DM. METHODS: This type of research is a quantitative study with a cross-sectional approach. The sample in this study was 38 DM patients who had their diagnosis confirmed using consecutive sampling techniques. According to the healthcare centre’s data, the respondent’s blood sample was taken at the respondent’s house, and the HbA1c and creatinine levels were tested in the laboratory. Data analysis using the Chi-square test. RESULTS: The results of this study indicate that there is no relationship between HbA1c levels and the incidence of kidney failure with p = 0.588, OR 0.658. CONCLUSION: This research showed that there was no relationship between HbA1c levels with the incidence of kidney failure.
This is due to an uncontrolled lifestyle, including a bad lifestyle and diet, causing health problems. Diabetes mellitus cases have increased every year, from 346 cases in 2004 and are predicted to increase by 4.4% in 2030. The purpose of this community service activity is to screen blood sugar levels, increase knowledge and skills related to DM disease and processing binahong leaves. The method used in this community service activity uses counseling and demonstration methods as well as health checks. The number of participants was 39 people consisting of 30 participants, 3 prolanist officers and resource persons and the community service team. The activity was carried out for 3 days in the hall of the Mariat Health Center. The results of the activity, as many as 30 participants had normal blood sugar levels and 100% experienced an increase in knowledge and skills related to DM and processing binahong leaves. 100% of participants had blood sugar levels within normal limits, 100% of participants experienced an increase in knowledge related to DM, 100% of participants experienced an increase in skills related to binahong leaf processing. The enhancement of cases of acute hepatitis in children in indonesia encourages the importance of early training detection for parents. Training this gives information about signs and symptoms of acute hepatitis in children and necessary steps taken if a child is suspected of having acute hepatitis. Besides that, training also helps parents prevent transmission of acute hepatitis in children by giving information about ways to avoid the risk of getting hepatitis. The objective of devotion to the public is to increase the knowledge, attitudes, and skills of mothers and toddlers in the detection of early acute hepatitis in children. Methods devotion to a society used is training involving 35 participants consisting of parents, cadres posyandu, village heads, secretaries, employees ward, and nurse health centre, as well assisted by 6th-semester students from the D.III Midwifery, D.III Nutrition, and D.III Nursing study programs. Devotion steps cover identification problems, development of community service programs, program implementation, program evaluation, dissemination results dedication, coaching, and development capacity society. Results of dedication to the public show that team training increases participants' knowledge. The difference in the average pre-test and post-test knowledge is -27.7, and the effect size is -2.16, which is very significant. Besides that, intervention detection of early hepatitis in children also successfully increases the respondent's attitude with the difference in the mean attitude of -17.5 and an effect size of -1.00, which shows a strong influence in increasing attitude. The data also shows a significant difference between the mean psychomotor scores pre and post-with an effect size of -1.00, indicating successful intervention in increasing psychomotor participants' skills. Training conducted on research this success increases the knowledge, attitudes, and skills of psychomotor participants related detection of early hepatitis in children. However, it is recommended to do an advanced study with notice that other possible factors influence results intervene and expand the sample and research area for more representative results. Study continuation to notice aspect qualitative for obtain more understanding good about influence intervention in period longer time. Background: Eye fatigue is a complaint often found in computer users' efforts to overcome eye fatigue are eye exercises. This study aimed to determine the effect of eye exercises on computer users' eye fatigue at the National Land Agency of Sorong Regency office. Research methods: This study uses the Quasi-Experiment method, one group pre-test-post-test design. The sample used 23 respondents. The research instrument used is the observation sheet before and after the intervention. result: This study used the Wilcoxon test and obtained p value = 0.000 (p 0.05), where the average value of eye fatigue complaints before eye exercises were carried out was 12.00, while after the intervention, there was a decrease in the value of 0.00. Conclusions: Based on the study's results, it is known that eye exercises can reduce eye fatigue of computer users at the National Land Agency of Sorong Regency Office, so they can be used to prevent eye fatigue
Local, general, and regional anesthesia is complex actions or events that cannot be separated from elective or emergency surgery. Anesthesia affects the three thermoregulatory elements consisting of afferent input elements, signal regulation in the central region, and also the efferent response which can lead to hypothermia. This study aims to determine the effect of the use of aluminum foil blankets on increasing body temperature in hypothermia patients after spinal anesthesia. This study uses a Pre-Experimental study design with a Pre-Post Test Only Design approach. Sampling in this study used a purposive sampling technique. 12 samples were given the intervention to use aluminum foil blankets. Analysis of data using the Shapiro-Wilk test, Homogeneity of Lavene Test, and Paired sample T-Test. The results of statistical tests using the Paired Sample T-Test obtained a p-value of less than 0.05 (<0.05), namely p = 0.000. There is an influence of the use of aluminum foil blankets to increase body temperature in hypothermia patients after spinal anesthesia.
