Plant diversity is really important to be a good learning media for students to achieve their goals. Presenting objects directly in class is not easy, therefore herbarium specimens are an alternative. The purpose of Program Kemitraan Masyarakat (PKM) is to provide groups of MGMP / Biology MGMP with understanding and skills in utilizing herbarium specimens as learning media in the classroom. This activities are carried out by lecture, demonstration and question and answer method. The lecture was conducted to explain basic knowledge about the herbarium, and its benefits as a media. The demonstration method was carried out by the instructors to demonstrate how to make a herbarium start from plant selection to pressing. Question and answer method if there is material that is not yet clear. The training on making herbarium as a medium that is used in classroom for Science/Biology teachers group in Enrekang is going well and smoothly; 2) Science / Biology teacher groups as trainees can understand the material well and are skilled in making herbariums starting from the sampling of plants, preservation with alcohol, pressing, drying, until attaching.
The development of science and technology can be utilized to improve the quality of the learning process. Therefore, the teachers need to have a good understanding and ability to improve Technology, Pedagogy, Content, Knowledge (TPCK) to develop their professional skills. The effort to enhance the quality of learning can be conducted by combining conventional learning (face to face) with online learning (elearning) which is currently known as Blended Learning (BL). Many types of research showed that BL is an effective learning innovation to improve the quality of learning. This study aimed to develop blended learning which is integrated with Bloom-Rederker-Guerra (B-R-G) mapping model on a valid and practical biology learning. The Bloom-Rederker-Guerra (B-R-G) mapping is used to represent learning objectives, classify learning activities, and propose alternative technologies that can be used in the implementation of blended learning. This development research was carried out by adopting the ADDIE model. The resulting product is a learning tool consisting of learning syllabus, lesson plans, student activity sheets, and a learning management system (LMS) which use Moodle as a tool. The result showed that the developed blended learning is valid. The teachers and learners also show a positive response to blended learning, as they believe that developed blended learning is practical. Thus, it is feasible to be implemented in the learning system as it can help to enhance self-regulated learner.
Efektivitas pemanfaatan modul jaringan pada tumbuhan berbasis pendekatan saintifik dan buku paket biologi dapat mendorong pemahaman peserta didik terhadap materi pembelajaran dan memberikan keseimbangan, melatih serta memperkuat kompetensi peserta didik dalam hal sikap, pengetahuan dan kemampuan secara utuh dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar peserta didik. Kegiatan pembelajaran dapat berhasil dengan baik, apabila ada peran guru dalam proses pengajaran. Keberhasilan ini banyak bergantung pada usaha guru dalam membangkitkan motivasi belajar peserta didik. Oleh karena itu, penting menciptakan kondisi tertentu agar peserta didik selalu termotivasi dan ingin terus belajar. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian Quasi Experimental. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh rombongan belajar peserta didik di SMA Negeri 9 Pinrang tahun ajaran 2020/2021 yang terdiri dari tiga rombongan belajar. Penentuan sampel penelitian dilakukan dengan teknik simple random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket motivasi belajar. Teknik analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif dan analisis secara inferensial dengan bantuan program aplikasi IBM SPSS Statistic versi 22 for Windows. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (i) motivasi belajar peserta didik melalui pemanfaatan modul jaringan pada tumbuhan berbasis pendekatan saintifik berada pada kategori tinggi, (ii) motivasi belajar peserta didik melalui pemanfaatan buku paket biologi berada pada kategori rendah, dan (iii) ada perbedaan motivasi belajar peserta didik melalui pemanfaatan modul jaringan pada tumbuhan berbasis pendekatan saintifik dan buku paket biologi.
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan berpikir divergen siswa laki-laki dan perempuan pada mata pelajaran Biologi di SMA Negeri 9 Makassar, dan untuk mengetahui adakah perbedaan signifikan kemampuan berpikir divergen antara siswa laki-laki dan perempuan pada mata pelajaran Biologi di SMA Negeri 9 Makassar. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu penelitian ex post facto.Populasi berjumlah 248 orang. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan tekhnik Purposive Sampling berjumlah 67 orang. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Juli sampai September 2018 tahun pelajaran 2018/2019. Tempat penelitian di SMA Negeri 9 Makassar yang terletak di Jalan Karunrung Raya No 37, Karunrung, Rappocini, Kota Makassar, Sulawesi Selatan. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan tes kreatifitas verbal. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir divergen siswa laki-laki dan perempuan di kelas XI SMA Negeri 9 Makassar berada pada kategori baik, terdapat perbedaan signifikan kemampuan berpikir divergen antara siswa laki-laki dan perempuan dengan nilai sig. (2-tailed) 0,024 pada taraf sig. α 0,05. Kemampuan berpikir divergen siswa perempuan lebih tinggi daripada siswa laki-laki.
