In recent years, student stress has become very visible. Academic stress is triggered by various circumstances, such as heavy workloads, lots of teaching materials or material to study, students need to excel academically, and academic demands that are reinforced by pressure from parents, school, and classmates. It is necessary to have group counseling for students to overcome these problems. The purpose of this study is to find out how effective the application of group counseling services is in minimizing academic stress in high school students. This research belongs to the type of experimental research, with a total sample of 6 high school students. Data collection in the study was carried out using questionnaires and interviews, with the research instrument being a questionnaire regarding academic stress. The data obtained in the study were then analyzed using the paired simple t-test. The results of the data analysis showed that the results of the Shapiro-Wilk normality test were pre-test 225 and post-test 099. It can be concluded that the data was > 0.05 or normally distributed. Furthermore, the paired sample t-test results showed a two-tailed significance score <0.05, meaning there was a significant difference between the initial and final variables. It indicates a significant effect on the difference in the treatment given to each variable. Based on these results, group counseling services are quite effective in minimizing academic stress on students.
Setiap individu akan belajar dari kondisi yang ada dalam lingkungan budayanya. Informasi karakteristik etnik dalam suatu budaya tertentu akan dipelajari dan tertanam dan saat dewasa, disadari atau tanpa disadari akan mempengaruhi individu melakukan identifikasi dalam rangka memperkuat identitas etnik yang melekat pada dirinya. Seorang laki-laki saat menjadi seorang ayah mentransmisi segala nilai-nilai budaya dalam dirinya dalam bentuk sikap dan perilaku pengasuhan pada anaknya sebagai peneguhan identitas etnik yang terlekat dalam dirinya. Inilah yang melatarbelakangi penelitian untuk mengetahui identitas etnik dalam perilaku pengasuhan oleh para ayah pada etnik Batak dan para ayah etnik Minang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan tehnik pengumpulan data menggunakan dept interview dengan informan diambil dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling mengambil beberapa orang ayah yang berasal dari etnis Minang dan etnis Batak yang sesuai kriteria yang telah ditentukan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bagaimana identitas etnik tergambar dalam perilaku pengasuhan yang dilakukan baik oleh para ayah suku Batak maupun para ayah suku Minang sesuai dengan identitas etnik yang melekat.
This article aims to discuss the History of the Historical Community of North Sumatra and its role in promoting Islamic sites in North Sumatra. The North Sumatra Historical Community was established on January 17, 2016. This community is a community engaged in history, education, tourism and culture. The members of this community are approximately 20 people. The method used in this research is the historical method with four stages, namely; heuristics, criticism or verification, interpretation and historiography. Based on the results of research that the authors get. The efforts made by the Historical Community of North Sumatra in carrying out its role as an institution that promotes Islamic sites in North Sumatra are; holding seminars and discussions, being a tour guide, promoting various historical sites through social media.
Self-motivation is the driving force behind taking action and achieving high performance. An individual must be motivated by his own desire to pursue the goals of the organization or agency. The problem in this study is how to describe self-motivation in improving the performance of librarians in the library of Sari Mutiara University, Indonesia. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of self-motivation in improving the performance of librarians in the library of Sari Mutiara University of Indonesia. In this study, the research approach to be carried out is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. This research method aims to precisely describe individual traits, circumstances, and other factors to solve problems. The result of this study is that the self-motivation of librarians at the University of Sari Mutiara Indonesia Library is formed from motivational factors supported by hygiene factors. This can be seen from the work achievements achieved by librarians, the recognition of their existence as librarians, completing the work given, having a great sense of responsibility, and the desire to develop their potential. In addition, other things that support the magnitude of self-motivation of librarians in improving performance are policies and administration that do not burden librarians, harmonious relationships between fellow librarians, income that can meet the needs of life, evaluations aimed at performance appraisals, and pleasant, comfortable, and conducive workplace conditions.
