Accident cases in the aquatic teaching indicate that students have not yet formed an attitude responsibility. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is an effect of responsibility-based aquatic teaching on respect and caring. This study used an experimental method with one group pretest-posttest design. The study population was eighth-grade students who studied the aquatic lesson (the experimental condition, n = 75). The research sample was selected using cluster random sampling. The 75 participants consist of 40 boys and 35 girls. The experimental test of the effect of the responsibility-based aquatic teaching was carried out for 10 sessions. By analyzing the paired sample t-test data, the results show that the students who took the aquatic lesson demonstrated that there is significant effect between responsibility-based aquatic teaching on increasing student' respect (p < .05, d = 0.14) and on increasing student' caring (p < .05, d = 0.95). Data analysis shows that there is a significant influence of responsibility-based aquatic teaching on increasing student respect and caring (t = 6.8575, p = 0.00 <0.005), so that responsibility-based aquatic teaching is effective in increasing the respect and caring of students. Current studies indicate that the effect of that responsibility-based aquatic teaching has an impact on student responsibility. This attitude appears in an enhancing aspect: respect and caring. Responsibility-based aquatic teaching in this study creates a meaningful and more responsible learning environment. Research findings also suggest that responsibility-based aquatic teaching provides a strong framework for creating a positive and meaningful learning environment. This is relevant to the use of responsibility teaching models in physical education in middle schools.
The Olympics is the largest multi-event championship in the world, which is used to show the performance of athletes. Participation in this big event is a matter of pride, especially if the athlete can present a medal for his country. One of Indonesia's mainstay sports to get an Olympic medal is Badminton. Coaching for national badminton athletes has been carried out in preparation for the Tokyo Olympics. During its journey, this coaching needs to be evaluated with a view to determining what activities are in accordance with the objectives. The method used in this evaluation research is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques using FGD, interviews, observation, and documentation. Subjects were taken purposively, as many as 11 people consisting of: four PP PBSI administrators, three coaches, and four athlete representatives. Based on the results of the context evaluation, it includes: 1) vision and mission; 2) Purpose; 3) Target can be categorized as Good. The input evaluation includes: 1) Trainers, 2) Athletes, and 3) Activity funding is said to be good. Process evaluation includes: 1) coaching 2) competition and 3) relegation is categorized as sufficient. Product evaluation includes: 1) Results and 2) awards for athletes categorized as Good. The obstacle found is the lack of utilization of sports science and technology which is a major part of the coaching process. The results obtained by Indonesian badminton athletes at the Tokyo Olympics were 1 gold in women's doubles and 1 bronze in men's singles.
The purpose of this study is to examine the role of parenting model to the performance of athletes through the mediator of achievement motivation. The hypothesis of this research is the theoretical model used to measure the performance of an athlete through achievement motivation mediator with empirical data. The population used in this study are the aquatic athletes who follow the Festival of Acuatiq Indonesia 2018 in Surabaya. The sampling technique used in this study is Total sampling. Samples in this study were 39 athletes consisting of 12 swimming athletes, 4 synchronous swimming athletes, and 23 water polo athletes. Data collection was done using scale and documentation. The data analysis uses the SmartPLS program to test the suitability of the measurement model with existing data in the field. The results showed Goodness of Fit (GoF) values: 0.271 and can be used as a model to measure individual performance through achievement motivation mediator in accordance to empirical data. The test results show that the role of the parenting model is direct, positive and significant to the athlete's achievement and there is a significant role model of care for the employee through the mediator of achievement motivation.
Optimizing Athlete Achievement Through Whole Human Concepts(A Philosophical Study)The dualism theory of body and soul asserts that they are two distinct and separate things. The difference lies in the meaning and object. The body is said to be an object that can be seen, touched, and real, while the soul is abstract, intangible, and unreal. Descartes in his writing entitled Meditation expresses his ideas about the dualism of interactionism. Interactionism believes that there is a reciprocal relationship between body and soul. The state of soul or mind such as beliefs and desires will interact with the body. Here it is said that the body and soul have a reciprocal relationship. Everything related to the body will affect the soul and vice versa, what is felt by the soul will affect the body. In achievement sports, the body and soul have an important role for athletes in achieving achievement. Where when the soul is strong it will be able to determine the direction and purpose, then it is developed by the mind to find ways and make an order which is continued by the body. The body that has been trained will carry out the command, namely the performance of motion. Giving an exercise program for athletes should be able to hit the soul and body. So that unity of body and soul can optimize the athlete's achievement, especially in swimming.
